I can’t believe I’m sitting here writing about my 2015 goals. Where did 2014 go? It seems as I get older, that times goes by that much faster. GEEZ! I don’t normally take the whole New Years Resolution thing too seriously. Sure, I’ve made goals for myself, but more than likely, I haven’t stuck with them for too long. I want to take a different approach this year. I’d like to share my goals and maybe it’s something we can work on together. Not everyone will have the same goals, but we all will have one or two in common I’m sure.

My 2015 Goals
1. Be more organized
I am pretty organized as it is, but I’d like to be more organized overall. From normal daily household organization, to being more organized for work, etc. I get behind and then it seems like everything just piles up. You ever have that problem? I’d also like to work on my schedule for work. More filming (more often), scheduled weekly topics and more collaborations with other bloggers because I see some majorly talented people who I’d love to feature and work with!
2. Health is important
I’m not saying I’m the least healthy person out there, but I’m also not the healthiest. I need to work on eating better and actually not skipping meals, which happens a lot! Plus, I need to step up my exercise habits. I need to work on my sleeping schedule and try to get at least 6-8 hours daily. All of these things are important for my body to do perform at its best and I need to try to help it get to that point. I feel like in 2014, I’ve been sick so much lately, that I need to make a change. It’s time to kick stress out the door and be more open to new ideas and new thinking! Plus, I’ve seen so many family members get hit so hard with health issues that i know I’m getting to that age where it’s time to make a change!
3. My marriage comes first
My husband and I both get so busy, that we tend to not really do anything together. What’s a date night? I’ve decided that we’re going to pick one Saturday a month and just let that be our day. No other interruptions, no work, and we are not allowed to cancel (obviously, if something really bad or important happened…) It’s just going to be us, doing things together again. Do we have a bad marriage, no way! BUT I think all marriages need work and time together. I know a lot of you are thinking just one saturday a month?!? We’ve got to start somewhere! It’s not like we don’t ever do anything together, but I want a full day of no one else but just him! I think that’s a fair goal!
4. “No” is an acceptable answer
Remember my post I did about turning 34? If you missed it, click here to read it. I talked about the power of saying no and what a struggle I had actually saying it and sticking with it. I’d like to really, really work on this one for 2015. This is my toughest “goal” that I’ve got on my list. Anyone have advice on how to actually make this work?
5. Finish one book a month
I LOVE reading, but I don’t always have time to read. I’ve already started a list of books that I’d like to read in 2015. I plan on finishing one book at least a month. I’m not sure the first book I’m going to start reading will be, but I’ll let you know when I decide!
6. Do more for others
I’m all about giving, but I’d like to start doing work with some charities or work with women or young girls. I’ve got to do some research and see what it is I could do, but I’d like to work with helping women get back on their feet or helping young girls who are having problems and issues. I think it’s important to continue to give to others and if I have the time, talent and resources to make that happen-I’m going to! Do any of you do work with charities or organizations?

These are some big goals and I’m going to hold myself accountable for them. I’m going to sit down and create a vision board for my office and really work on making them happen. I have an alarm in my phone all ready to remind myself, monthly, to sit down and re-evaluate where I’m at with them. I’ve never really held myself accountable for not following my “goals” but this year I’d like to really keep up with them. In the end, it’s for bettering my life and what else is more important than that?
Do you have any goals for 2015? Share them below!!! We can all use encouragement and advice from others! Hopefully this is something that we can work on together. I hope that you all have a fun, but safe New Years Eve and I’ll see you in 2015!!

I feel like I’ve been getting sick so much lately! I don’t know what I need to do, but I think my immune system needs a boost. I’d also like to exercise more. I’m also trying to read books more often, since I love to read but never make time for it.

I love these goals! I haven’t made my official list yet, but I’m definitely going to focus on sleeping more and being healthier, saying “no” (in turn also saying “yes” more – contradictory, I know) and reading more. Reading “real” books that is 🙂
Happy New Year Christine and best of luck on all your goals!
