Every woman needs a little black dress

 

I know I don’t do fashion posts that often and it’s something that I want to do more of on the blog.  Here’s the truth.  I get so nervous being in front of the camera.  I try to make sure I’m posing the right way and showing the details in the pictures correctly.  I seriously have a huge amount of respect for Fashion Bloggers who are always putting themselves on display everyday! That’s a lot of work, ha!  

Anyways, I wanted to share a look with you guys.  It’s a very “me” type of outfit.  A cozy, but still put together type of look that has been jazzed up with some accessories. Honestly, I feel that every woman needs to have at least one little black dress in her closet.  It’s THE dress that you pull out when you need to dress to impress!  This dress, which is from good ol’ Target,  would be perfect for an everyday type of look for sure OR you can bust this out for an evening on the town!  I even think that an outfit like this is awesome way to start transitioning your wardrobe for Fall!  Which I’m so ready for!! I hate this heat!

 

 

 

 

I tried to keep the makeup soft as I wanted the lips to be the focal point of the look. It’s funny looking at the pictures because I had tried a new bronzer and blush that seemed so intense, but didn’t look like it at all in pictures.  Next time I do a photo shoot I need to remember to really go insane with the bronzer haha! Anyways, the lipstick is nothing that I’d ever imagine myself wearing but when I was at MAC recently, the lady applied it on me and it was LOVE at first sight!  PS It didn’t hurt that she kept complimenting my skin and thought I was in my 20’s #Hallelujah 

 

 

 

 

This look is just a simple little black dress paired with a few accessories.  It’s comfortable, but I could still go anywhere and feel put together.  I love outfits like this because it took even less effort than throwing on a pair of jeans and shirt.  I have really fallen in love with this Kendra Scott necklace because it goes so nicely with everything!  I also wore a simple coil bracelet from Alex and Ani which I got from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s only $30.00 and some change and it’s such a nice piece to have to wear on it’s own or to pair up with another bracelet.  Simple looks are all that I live for! 

I wanted to take a moment and get serious because it wouldn’t be a #SimplyStine post if I didn’t make this personal. HA!  Never be afraid to tell yourself that you’re beautiful.  Never be too afraid to put yourself out there and try something different. Especially when it comes to Fashion!  Yes, I’m a Blogger and you see a lot of pictures of me,  but that doesn’t mean that I don’t struggle with issues when it comes to my looks!  I have stopped myself from posting pictures before because I critiqued them too harshly.  Hell, even posting these pictures is basically an anxiety attack waiting to happen! HA.  Seriously though,  if you feel beautiful, that’s all that matters!  If you need a reminder of how beautiful you are, let me know! I’m always here for pep talks because lord knows even I struggle on the daily with making sure I feel confident in myself.  I’m always a work in progress!!

 It’s so important to have people in your life who reminds you of how beautiful you are.   My husband tells me that I’m beautiful every single day.  Even on days when I feel that I look “my worst” aka no makeup, etc.  I wish everyone had someone in their life like him when they were growing up because maybe all of us wouldn’t be so hard on ourselves today.  Also, let that be a reminder for you to do the same! Telling someone how beautiful they are or just giving a compliment on the way they look can change their day, heck maybe even their life! 

 

 

When we were shooting pictures, this Butterfly kept coming around us and I thought how gorgeous! I have to include this in my post. I hope that you guys have an awesome weekend!
