It’s kinda annoying to have that perfect lip color applied only to see it gone within a couple hours. That’s why I like to use stains. They last for a long time and don’t come off on your coffee cups or anything else (like your special someone you are kissing!!), but they can leave your lips feeling super dry. Well, L’Oreal came up with a GENIUS product when they launched the Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain because it makes my lips feel super hydrated, my color lasts for hours (they claim at least 6) and it gives me an amazing shine!

The Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain feels amazingly light on my lips and not tacky. It resembles a high shine gloss and I love that! When I first apply the product, it feels extremely moisturizing and very wet. I normally apply about three coats of this and by the time I’m done, it feels like I’m wearing a lipstick. It’s not heavy at all. It does have a scent to it, but I only seem to smell it when I first apply the product. It’s a floral scent, but nothing crazy.
There are 12 shades to choose from and I purchased the shade #184 Rose On And On. What a gorgeous color. It’s nothing crazy on me, but it’s a touch of rose on my lips. I have heard that some colors are more sheer than others, so be sure to do some research at the store or online before you pick these up. True to a stain, they don’t come off. When I tested this out on my hand, I could only detect a faint amount of gloss, but no color really. Can we talk about the packaging? This looks like a super, sleek lip product I would be picking up at an upscale department store. This does seem to resemble a certain YSL Product, for sure. Kudos to L’Oreal for making a great looking product. My ONLY complaint with this product is that when you purchase it, they don’t come sealed. WHY??? I would like to think that this wouldn’t be that difficult of a step to include in the making of this product. I don’t want to be slather this amazing lip product all over my lips if someone’s used it before!
I’m not sure how they do it, but they have given me the perfect lip look! High shine, without the sticky/tacky feeling. Lightweight, but gorgeous full color! I love it. I plan on picking up several more colors ASAP!
