Now let’s talk skincare for a bit.  I’m going to get really detailed so you understand what each of these Tree of Life serums are going to do for your skin and to figure out which one is best for you.  One word of caution, when pregnant or nursing, make sure you check to see if these are products in which you can use on your skin.  A LOT of skincare ingredients you must be careful with, especially serums like Retinol, etc.

Vitamin C Serum

I love a good Vitamin C Serum and I use one daily.  The trick for me is finding the right formulation that doesn’t irritate my skin. This is one skincare product that I have a hard time including in my skincare routine because my skin tends to turn red and itchy and be all sorts of aggravated when I use Vitamin C.  So far, this one hasn’t irritated my skin.  It’s just been a couple weeks since I’ve started using the product, but luckily, nothing bad has happened yet.

Vitamin C is great for fighting free radical damage, it helps fight the signs of aging that we generally think about such as wrinkles, age spots and sagging skin.  This is a great serum to use before or after your retinol to give your skin an extra dose of hydration because this formula features 11% Vegan Hyaluronic Acid.

Retinol Serum

The most important thing to remember about Retinol is that it is a key product to include in your anti-aging routine.  This will help plump fine lines and wrinkles, helps the appearance of dark spots and hyper-pigmentation, helps stop the breakdown of collagen and it encourages production of new collagen for firmer skin.  It’s basically your “youth in a bottle” and let me tell you ladies (and gents) that this is the holy-grail product for getting your skin in tip top shape to help fight it against the signs of aging that we all despise.

This formulation combines some other ingredients such as Organic Green Tea, Vitamin E and it also features Hyaluronic Acid and Jojoba Oil. I included the ingredients below, I wish I knew what the other natural and organic ingredients are that they have listed below. Call me curious….

The one thing to remember about using Retinol is that everyone will react differently to it, especially if you have sensitive skin like I do. You might notice redness, irritation and even flaking.  This is completely normal, however, if your skin doesn’t seem to ever stop being irritated, then this product probably is a bit too concentrated for your skin. Its also crucial that you avoid the sun and use an SPF with this product because your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight and UV rays.

I recommend staring this Tree of Life serum once a week, at night.  They suggest every other day, but for someone like myself who has the most sensitive skin, I tend to start with caution. Once you’ve been using it and your skin is adjusting to the product, you can continue to use it more often, even daily.  You only need a couple of drops for your skin. I suggest patting it onto the skin and allow it to really work itself into your skin for about five minutes before applying other products. This product can take up to 30-60 days before you see results.

Hyaluronic Acid Serum

This serum is my go-to ingredient for helping lock moisture into my skin.  It helps to reduce fine line and wrinkles that are caused by dehydration.  This formulation features Vitamin C which helps to protect your skin from free-radical damage and Vitamin E which helps inflammation.  This is a great product to use after you apply your Retinol because it will help you lock in that moisture into the skin and help the healing process.

I apply this serum to my skin after I’ve cleanse and toned.  I only use a small amount of product and I tap it into my skin and allow it to dry before moving on to my next skincare product.  This will take at least 30-60 days before you see the benefits of this product.  Sometimes sooner, but you have to be patient when it comes to skincare ingredients.

The Ultimate Wrinkle Serum

The Ultimate Wrinkle Serum is packed full of amazing skincare ingredients!  I am still in the beginning stages of testing this product out, but so far I’ve experienced no irritation and my skin is looking great!  I just use a drop full of this at night (sometimes less) and I pat it into my skin.  The texture of this is very runny, so it works itself right into your skin nicely and I don’t experience any stickiness or anything.  There is a faint smell and I think it’s the Tea Tree Essential Oil that I’m picking up the most when I smell the product.  However, it quickly goes away once applied to the skin.

I was using several separate serums that contain ingredients like Niacinamide, Retinol and Vitamin C.  So I love having this as an option in my skincare routine because it saves me so much time having it all in one bottle.

Overall, I’m quite please with the Tree of Life skincare products I’m trying!  I haven’t used them long enough to judge their long-term results, but so far I’ve experienced no irritation and I think they’re a great option for you to have on hand if you’re serious about skincare!  Their products all feature droppers, so I love that I can control the amount of product that I’m using and not waste any of it!
