Happy New Year!! I can’t believe it’s already 2013!! Where did 2012 go?? It went by so fast, but I’m excited about this new year upon us. I look at the beginning of new years as a fresh start. I clean my house like a frantic person, organize, donate items I no longer need and work on resolutions. Yes, I make resolutions. I’ve never been very good about sticking to them, but this year I plan on making myself really follow through with them. Here’s a glimpse into my year so far…
1. Blog!!!
I plan on taking my blog even further than last year. I started this blog and really wanted to do it as a hobby. I had such a love for the beauty world that I wanted to share what I had learned from it. I have been blown away by the responses from people. I love to know that I’m helping people learn and that people are giving me advice and suggestions! I plan on doing more videos, working on some fashion blog posts and some organization tips that I have picked up. This blog and what it has become makes me very proud and I can’t wait to see where it goes!
2. Organize!!!
Man. My office became a christmas present gift wrapping room from hell. I literally stood in my office a few weeks ago and just shook my head. How did this happen??? I could no longer walk easily to my desk without falling over something or stepping on something sharp. So the official new year clean up has begun. The wrapping paper and bows are put away and I’m going through items to see if I actually still need them. This is a fantastic time of year to go through your makeup and check the dates on items. You’d be really surprised how much expired makeup products you are still using! I’ll be posting a blog about this very topic ASAP! I’m also deep cleansing my makeup brushes and really working on organizing my makeup better. I’ll also do a separate blog post on this as well, as I know a lot of people struggle with makeup organization.
3. Enjoy time with family and friends!!
This is something that I think a lot of people have really just forgotten about. People get so caught up in their own lives that they often forget about how important family and friends really are. This past year I lost someone very dear to my heart and it was really an eye opener to me about how precious time really is. I know it seems that we all have less and less time anymore, but with all the advances in technology, I really don’t see it as an excuse anymore! Send random text messages, email a loved one, Skype or Facetime with a family member you don’t live close to or how about sending a card?? This has almost become a thing of the past, but who doesn’t love getting a card in the mail! Take the time to be with the people you love and enjoy that time with them. I plan on following through with this and making sure I take the time to not get so caught up in the little things that life sometimes throws at us. Laundry, cleaning and other random chores can always wait. I challenge you to spend 5 minutes with a loved one or doing something for someone. I think you’ll be surprised how much better you will feel.
2013 is the year of change for me! Changes in all aspects of my life. I know that might be a generic resolution, but for me, it’s a good one. Health, physical, emotional and spiritual changes are something I need to work on to better my life. So as this year moves forward, I plan on blogging about how my resolutions are coming along and I hope to share some of my experiences with you guys! My blog will still have some amazing beauty advice and I still plan to brag about my love for products (Have you seen the new Too Faced Spring Collection?????) because let’s be honest…..Beauty is a giant part of my life and it makes me VERY happy!!! Have you set some new resolutions for yourself that you would like to share?? Let me know! I hope I can support each and every one of you along the way!

I made a list of 10 resolutions for the year including lose more weight, keep not drinking pop, try new beauty products instead of the current way i buy (including keeping up with your blog!) and use what i have and not buying underwear or perfume except under certain circumstances. haha I have WAYYYY too much of the last 2.
Hoping for a great year! It sure is starting out good! 🙂

HAHAHA!!! I laughed out loud when I read your comment. I, too, have way too many of your last two! I am considering having a No Buy February, but I have to see what is being released first 😉 Thanks for all of the support and following my blog! It’s great to see people actually enjoying it!
