When I hear word of a new Urban Decay palette, I get super excited and start doing my research. When I found out that there was going to be a new Naked Palette, well, I just got down right ecstatic. The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are some of the most highly sought after eye palettes that have been released by any makeup company. They are great because they offer so many amazing colors and can be used to create so many different looks. The NAKED BASICS palette is no exception. This is perfect for anyone who wants a basic palette with a good selection of natural, matte (and satin) colors.
The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette is a stunner. With six shadows, (four exclusive to this palette) it gives you mattes, a satin (great highlighting shade) and a dark black color that can be used as liner if needed. This is the perfect eye palette for anyone from a beginner all the way to a makeup beauty expert. It is a great size for traveling and can create a wide variety of looks. To me, the best thing about this palette is the price. At only $27.00, it is affordable enough for anyone to get their hands on it.
The biggest question I had for myself (and I’m sure a lot of you are asking this) is, do I need this if I already own the original Naked Palettes? The answer is, yes and no. Let me explain. In both of the original Naked and Naked 2 palettes, there are only 2 matte shades in each palette. The rest of the colors contain shimmer. Foxy is the only color from the Naked 2 palette that is included in this BASICS palette. If you are a matte lover and prefer basic, neutral matte colors, this is the palette for you. If you are a lover of the original Naked palettes, this palette could also work for you. While I see similar colors in the original Naked palettes, there are differences. I’d say it would be a personal preference. For me, I love matte, neutral shades enough to justify this purchase. Even though I love both my Naked and Naked 2 palettes, this is still different enough for me to want the colors it offers.

I’m so tempted to purchase this! I only have the first Naked Palette, so I’m not sure if I actually NEED this. lol

I feel like the colors are very different than the colors that are in the Naked and Naked 2 palette. For me, this is a great palette for natural, matte colors. I mean, the other Naked palette was full of shimmer colors, which I loved, but not a lot of matte options. I’m impressed that they made it affordable!!!

I’m still loving my Naked 2, but this one looks like a great small warm set to add to it. 🙂
