When I get the notification that my Julep Maven box has shipped, I start to get really excited and I start stalking my mail box. It is becoming one of my favorite boxes each month. This month was no exception! It was a GREAT box!
My December box was Boho themed again. They gave me the option of switching my theme, but I loved the colors in this box. Also included was an Instant Warming Foot Scrub, 2 polishes, a Cabochon Ring and a cute little peppermint candy. It was all packaged nicely with holiday themed tissue paper and white “stuffing.”
My colors this month were Petra and Jordan. Both were sparkly, but Petra was a little bit less. It was a gorgeous red/pink/purple shimmery color. At first glance I thought it was red, but it changes colors when the light hits it. Jordan was a gorgeous silver sparkle. The colors went on flawlessly and I’ve had no issues with chipping at all. Their colors continue to impress me, as I am the type of customer who likes the “unusual” colors. I also like that they offer “normal” colors as well.
The foot scrub felt awesome. Since it is a warming foot scrub, as soon as you start working it into the skin, it instantly warms up. It has a cucumber mint scent which is very refreshing and not overwhelming at all. It also features a natural pumice to help exfoliate the feet, chili pepper oil to stimulate circulation and Vitamin E which is great for hydration and nourishment to the skin. I’m pretty sure I got a full size of this and that alone costs $22.00 or $17.60 if you are a a Julep Maven. That right there almost paid for my box!
The Cabochon Ring was a neat little gift. It came together in a small velvet drawstring bag and the idea was to paint it yourself and then finish the ring. The stone wasn’t attached to the ring itself, so I had to paint it first. I love DIY, crafty type things. I think I’ll actually give this away as a gift this year! I know just the “boho” person to give this to.
It’s the small things that get me excited and happy. Including a peppermint candy isn’t a big deal, but it’s a big deal when a company takes the time to include those types of things. Even their packaging was cute for the holiday’s. I’d also like to comment on their extremely fast shipping. I got this package and an item for my giveaway for the blog super fast!! if you are ordering from them and are worried about shipping, I’d have no worries (as long as you aren’t waiting until like two days before Christmas, then you are on your own!) I say excellent job, Julep! You have continued to impress me yet again and I can’t wait for my next box. Thanks to you, my nails are looking amazing!!
