Holiday Gift Ideas for him

Ladies, you all have to admit that sometimes shopping for the favorite guy in your life can be stressful. It doesn’t matter if it’s your brother, boyfriend, uncle or husband. Men can be picky or just not very helpful with gift ideas. I believe with these holiday suggestions, there is bound to be something on here for any guy!

Let’s start out with Beer. Most guys love beer and I know I’m always safe with a good craft beer for my husband. I’m not talking Bud Light or any of the usual stuff. Find a local beer store or brewery and treat him to something new! Most cities have local breweries and they carry that particular beer throughout the state. So do a little bit of research or visit a grocery store or local liquor store that carries an assortment of craft beers. Around here we also have Beer Growler stores. Another option for you to look into! We shop a lot at Total Wine. Not only do they carry a giant assortment of wine, but their craft beer selection is pretty good! Maybe there is one in your area?

Some guys really do enjoy looking good. It starts with the proper grooming accessories. Jack Black products are the only products my husband will use for shaving. Their Beard Lube and Post Shave Cooling Gel are total staples in his shaving routine. He used to get extremely red and have a lot of issues with stubborn ingrown hairs. Not anymore! How about a massage? In my days in working in the spa, guys were some of our top clients. I’d suggest a sports massage or deep tissue for the athletic guy in your life or a hot stone massage or general swedish massage for anyone just wanting relaxation. Going to the spa isn’t just for the ladies! There are so many great massage deals out there if you look at Groupon, Living Social or whatever coupon/discount deals there are in your area. (You could always book a couples massage!!)

This next suggestion might seem obvious, but it’s often forgotten about. What about Comic Books, video games or DVD’s of his favorite TV shows? Guys love “guy” stuff. The Walking Dead on AMC is a very popular TV show ( and it’s amazing!!!) and it started out as a Comic Book. I know it’s a been a popular gift around my house for a while now! There are a lot of the comic books, so you could start him a collection by picking up a few! The Dark Knight Rises just came out on DVD and that’s a total guy’s movie. I love it when people put together a git with popcorn, candy and a movie. It’s a gift anyone can use!

Have a geeky guy in your life? Don’t be ashamed, I do! Sometimes they can be the trickiest to buy for. They are always very on top of their game when it comes to technology purchases. I’d suggest the Google Nexxus 10 Tablet, iPad or iPad mini. The new Windows just came out so you could upgrade his software. How about a virtual laser keyboard for his tablet? There are so many amazing electronic, computer, phone ideas out there now, that it makes it easier for us to come up with some pretty neat gifts!

There are so many other great gifts I can think of. Magazine subscriptions, sports accessories, comfy pj’s and nice moccasins for him to wear around the house, new wallet, car wash gift certificates, sporting even tickets, Birchbox for men, or even something as simple as baking him his favorite cookies. It doesn’t always have to be an expensive gift. Sometimes the guys in our lives are simple and just want something simple as well.
