Around this time of year, I like to paint my nails with lots of reds for the holidays. So I’m always on the look out for my next favorite red shade. I happened to be in Neiman Marcus and saw this Deborah Lippmann Polish and instantly bought it. It is GORGEOUS! It’s called Ruby Red Slippers and let me be the first to tell you, it’s the perfect vampy red for the holidays!
It seems to have a black base color with red glitter added. The glitter size is perfect. Nothing too big or too small and it doesn’t feel rough on my nails. The darkness with the red is what I love. When the light hits this color, it’s gorgeous! As with any glitter nail polish, it isn’t the easiest to take off. However, I have used worse. Deborah Lippmann is THE person the stars go to for their nail care needs! She has created an amazing line of products. Her polishes are $18.00 a bottle and while that might seem high, I only needed one coat of this and I was finished. Her nail polishes are free of any toxic chemicals and really do seem to last on my nails. They are very easy to apply and don’t seem to be thick or runny. Deborah Lippmann products can be purchased at most of the finer department stores or online on her website. I picked mine up at Neiman Marcus and they had a really good selection of her polishes and accessories.
I will be wearing this shade a lot this holiday season! I love it because its such a gorgeous red and unlike anything else that I own. Have you ever tried her products before? What did you think?
