Having problems with your eye makeup coming off during the day? You apply it in the morning and by lunchtime its gone, underneath your eyes or it’s creased on your lids. The best trick anyone ever taught me was to use an eye primer. An eye primer will help your eyeshadow stay in place and not come off. There are a lot of different eye primers out there and I have probably tried almost every one of them. The absolute best one for me has been the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Primer. It tackles my oily eyelids like a pro and keeps my eyeshadow in place, all day long. No creasing, fading or disappearing with this product!
This is a silicone based primer that will also even out the color on the lid. This primer works so good because it creates a barrier between the oils of your skin and your makeup. I also find that when I use a primer, it makes my eyeshadow color pop! The primer is very concentrated, so you only need a tiny amount to cover your eyelids. I generally wash my face and put on all moisturizers and my eye cream. I put the primer on and let it sit on my eyelids for about 30 seconds or more before I put on any color to the lid.

I picked up my product at Sephora for $18.00. It might seem expensive, but it will last me well over a year. ! If you have a store like Sephora or Ulta (or even a department store that carries Too Faced products) go and try it out! Sephora will gladly give you a sample to take home and try. I feel like this is one of those products that I can’t believe I did without for so long! It’s such an easy product to add to your routine and will give you amazing results.
