I’m sure many of you have heard of bare Minerals (or bare Escentuals) before (www.bareescentuals.com). They have a very well known Mineral Makeup line that millions of people use and swear by. What you might not know is that they also have a skincare line. I recently tried the bare Minerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment and was really impressed by the immediate results.
So what is in this product that makes it so good? It features an ActiveSoil Complex. If you were like me and had no idea what that meant, here is a simple explanation: It first begins with collected virgin soil and mixed with a blend of macro and micro mineral soil. They extract calcium, magnesium, potassium and iron from the soil and the result is a golden liquid. That golden liquid goes through a reduction process that results in a powder. That powder is the ActiveSoil Complex. So when we are using this, we are basically applying all those beneficial ingredients directly into the skin.
This could be one of the simplest products I have ever used. It is used in the PM and applied as the very last part of your skincare routine. That means cleanse, moisturize and all of that good stuff first and then apply this as your last step. The top unscrews and on the lid is an attached brush. This brush is so soft and feels great on my skin. I first turn the product upside down and gently tap it. The minerals fall onto the brush this way. Open the product and then using the brush, buff the product onto your skin. It’s that simple! This product comes in four shades. I chose clear. They claim that they offer this product in different shades to instantly hide imperfections on the face. I don’t understand that because who cares what our skin looks like when we go to bed? I’m sure there are some people who would appreciate that though.
It is said to visibly reduce pores, show fewer imperfections and wrinkles, improve skin texture and give you firmer skin. I notice when I put this on my skin and I wake up in the morning, my pores seem smaller and I have a nice glow to my skin. If I am having any kind of skin issue like dryness or redness, this seems to help calm down my skin. I like that I can apply it at night and let it do its job. Simple is always good.
My biggest question would be is it worth the price tag? This product goes for about $60.00. That’s quite a bit, but it has lasted me well over 6 months (with consistent use) and I’m still not out of the product yet. It’s a lot of money, but when I use it, I do notice a difference. Anything that helps shrink my pores is worth the money to me. I might try to repurchase this product with a coupon or when they have a sale to help with the cost. I love that I’m putting natural ingredients on my skin and they are making a difference! This can be added to any of your current skincare routines and can be purchased anywhere they sell bare Minerals products like Sephora, Ulta, QVC, Department Stores or their website (bare Minerals website).
