A product that I wanted to love, but didn't….

I hate to have to write these reviews, but I always said I’d be honest about the products I was reviewing.    I recently purchased a One Bath and Body (http://www.onebathandbody.com) Cool Eyes Mask from Target.  I have used several other products from them and really enjoyed them.  They are inexpensive and packaged very chic! I have even gifted them to several friends and family members.  Their line has soaps, lotions, bubble baths, facial masks, etc.  They have a really good assortment of products to choose from.

I normally use a big brand eye mask that I purchase from Sephora, but it is expensive and I was looking for an alternative to that product. So when I saw this, I got excited.  I think I paid $1.99 for this product. The idea behind this product is great.  It features two HUGE “cucumbers” that you place on the eye area for about 15-20 minutes.  The package says that it is a “cooling cucumber chai eye mask.” When I opened the package I was first confused because there was so much “gel” in the packet for two eye pads.  I pulled each eye pad out and “gel” just dripped off of them like crazy.  I get that they need to be moisturized, but it seemed like an awful lot.  Before putting them on my eye, I actually had to wipe a little bit off.  There was so much gel on the products, still after me wiping them off, that I felt it dripping down the sides of my face.  I lasted about five minutes and I had to take them off.

Overall, they are a great idea.  The product is very cute and with such a small package, I could easily travel with this.  I think if I were to repurchase them, that I’d maybe cut them in half and just place on my under eye area.  I mean for $1.99, it’s not horrible, but it wasn’t great either.  I’m not really sure why there was so much “gel” in the packet for just two of these small “cucumber” circles.  I really wanted to love this product just because of the price point and the fact that I always liked their products before.  Maybe I’ll give it one more shot and see if I got a weird package, but I have a feeling it’s just one of those products that is so so.  Which really bums me out!
