I don’t know about you, but there is nothing more irritating to me than dealing with a dry, itchy scalp. My scalp issues are normally worse in the winter, but sometimes even doing something as simple as going to get my hair done can leave me with a very irritated scalp. I have to be careful what products I’m putting on my hair because my scalp is ultra picky apparently. #GoFigure If you struggle with scalp issues this is where Aveda’s New Pramasana Purifying Scalp Treatment and Cleanser will be your new best friend!
Pramasana Purifying Scalp Cleanser $35.00
Deeply, yet gently cleanses and purifies the scalp to help instantly balance sebum levels, while it exfoliates and removes pollution – creating a clean scalp foundation for beautiful hair. Scalp is left invigorated and refreshed. Aveda’s own pure-fume™ aroma with grapefruit, neroli, cypress and other pure flower and plant essences.
Pramasana Protective Scalp Concentrate $45.00
Helps balance sebum levels to maintain the purity of the scalp at the root of the hair. This lightweight, leave-in treatment penetrates the surface layers of the scalp to nourish and help preserve the scalp’s natural protective barrier while helping protect the scalp from aggressors such as pollution and other free radicals. Leaves the scalp nourished, soothed and feeling comfortable all day.**When used with pramāsana™ purifying scalp cleanser
Do You Need These Products?
Both the scalp cleanser and the scalp concentrate both contain Aveda’s own pure-fume™ aroma with grapefruit, neroli, cypress and other pure flower and plant essences. They smell fantastic, but honestly though, did we expect anything less from Aveda, ha?!?!
The real question though is do you actually need these products as a part of your hair care routine. My answer to that is, it depends. Do you suffer from scalp issues? If yes, then you should consider them for sure. The products are more on the pricey side, BUT I will say that since using these regularly, I haven’t noticed my scalp being dry at all. If you don’t really have any scalp issues but are curious if your scalp is healthy or not, I’d suggest popping into your local Aveda store to have a free hair and scalp analysis done. That way, you’ll know for sure if this is a product that you need or not.

I know these are not marketed towards hair loss, but anything that cleans the scalp well and helps to balance out the sebum is always good for that. SO I think these both would probably benefit me!

I received these products also from Aveda, but I haven’t used them because I don’t have scalp issues at all. Your terrific review has convinced me that I should give them away to someone who does really need them.
