Today I want to talk about the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and why I think this is such a great product for so many skin types! A lot of people still aren’t using a primer when it comes to makeup and I used to be the same way. I thought its as an unnecessary step in my makeup routine, but then I started experimenting with them more and found that I got better results and my makeup lasted a lot longer when I used a primer. It’s a step that’s worth not skipping!
A primer is the first step in creating a good makeup look. They take a second to apply, but the results will last all day. Not every primer is the same. Some are for oily skin, some are for enlarged pores, dry skin, etc. With today’s makeup becoming more and more advanced, they are combining a lot of ingredients to give us a two-in-one product. It saves time and allows us to use less products. Today I want to talk about the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and why I think this is such a great product for so many skin types!
While at Sephora recently, I was looking for a primer that I normally use, but it was out. So I asked for an alternative. Now, not everyone is going to give you a product that you are going to love. Each product may be better for some and not so much for others. So I always listen to what they suggest and do some research on my own. She recommended the hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and started raving about the product. Actually, by the time I left the store, three employees saw that I was purchasing this and confessed their love of the product.
The hourglass Veil Mineral Primer is an advanced primer. Not only is it priming our face for a better foundation application, but it also neutralizes redness, absorbs oil (it is oil-free), minimizes pores and includes and SPF 15. It feels very silky and smooth once applied to the skin and absorbs into my skin amazing. One pump did my whole face and I still had a little bit of product remaining.
Apply this product on a clean, moisturized face. You can put it on using your fingers or you can use a brush, its up to you and whatever you prefer. I go back and forth. Just depends on what I’m feeling like doing that day. One pump is all that is needed to cover the entire face.
Compared to other primers I’ve used, this isn’t priced that much differently. I purchased the larger bottle that was $52.00, BUT it will last me probably over a year. They do offer a smaller size for just $18.00, which would probably last you quite a while.
So far I’m loving this product. It absorbs oil and shine, helps cover my pores and I’m getting the SPF benefit of it as well. I would suggest this product for anyone with any skin type. However, if you are feeling like your skin is a little bit dry, they do make an alternative moisturizing primer.
Have you ever tried this product? If so, did you love it or hate it? Let me know!

I haven’t tried this yet, but I have recently fallen in love with primers. It is difficult to find one for oily skin though, so this could be something for me to look into!

This is amazing for oily skin! I also recommend the Makeup forever primer (I use the green shade to also help conceal my redness) and I love Nars. Too faced makes a good one also.
