This is what I call a showdown! Two products going head to head. A makeup dupe is when we find an exact match (or very close in comparison) for a brand name product, much cheaper. Who doesn’t want to save money?? How similar are they? Let’s get this started and find out!
Clinique Chubby Stick vs. Revelon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain
***COST:
Clinique $16.00
Revlon $8.99
WINNER: Revlon
That’s a very big price difference for an almost exact product. Plus you can use manufactures coupons on Revlon.
***SIZE:
Clinique .1oz
Revlon .095 oz
WINNER: Clinique
Wow! That’s a close one. It’s funny because when I was taking pictures of these products, Revlon looks bigger when next to the Clinique product.
***COLOR SELECTION:
Clinique 16
Revlon 12
WINNER: Clinique
While they are close, Clinique does offer more of a color selection. Both have great colors to choose from. Some colors may appear very dark at first glance, but they go on a bit more sheer than you’d expect. So don’t shy away from dark wine colors because they are totally in this fall!
***PERFORMANCE:
Clinique
Revlon It is a stain, afterall!
WINNER: Revlon
Clinique is just a lip balm. So it’s not going to stay on as long as a stain.
***OVERALL:
I know that the Revlon product is a stain, so it will last longer than Clinique, but there is also one big difference in these products and its that the Revlon seems to have some sort of peppermint in the ingredients. I didn’t notice that with the Clinique one. Both are moisturizing, but the peppermint took it up a notch for me!
I did have to reapply the Clinique product more often than Revlon, but it still lasted! The Revlon product lasted longer, but the color did tend to wear off a bit. I still had color, but maybe not as much. There was still lip color on my lips even when I was going to bed. That’s amazing staying quality!
CHAMPION:
They are so close in comparison, but Revlon gets my vote. They have a great color selection, its just as moisturizing and its only $8.99! Since Revlon is sold in almost every drug store or grocery store, you are able to use coupons on top of that low price! Clinique is a tiny bit bigger and they offered four more color choices, but to me it isn’t worth the extra money.
You be the judge! Did you agree with my winner? Have you ever used either of these products?
