Max was hired to object to Sophie’s wedding. Why? Not only was her fiancé cheating on her BUT her dad was also working for her “future” father-in-law. So she needed an out and Max was just the guy. After they hang out on what was supposed to be her wedding night, she decides she wants in on this objector business and she ends up helping others who were in her same position. Obviously she also starts a friendship with Max. Can I just say that I ADORED Sophie’s roommates.
Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver

Well, this is a book about serial killers who happen to kill other serial killers…..yeah. It presents some very intense and interesting situations for Sloane and Rowan, the two main characters. This book is NOT for everyone and I’d highly suggest looking into trigger warnings. It’s also very spicy with VERY open door scenes.
Forced Proximity. One Bed. Friends to Lovers. He Falls First.
Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Amrentrout

Did I enjoy this book? Absolutely. Will I read the next book on the series? Of course. Did I have issues with this one? Oh yes, but I did really enjoy this story.
My critique? There were times I felt like I didn’t really see any character development. I didn’t see anything happening. This is a long book, so at times I needed it to spend less time with Poppy’s inner thoughts and more time with something happening. We still have world building and this is book 2.

I’m not going to say anything other than I am so in love with this series. Like do I love this even more than ACOTAR?!?!? So good. I’m already moving on to the next book in the series. One thing to mention, why does SJM make these books so damn long?!?!??!?!
