Keeping this post short and sweet, but here are the five beauty products I’m loving right now.
1)L’Orèal Paris True Match Radiant Serum Concealer
I’m not sure who I saw recommend this product, but I am so happy I saw someone suggest this concealer. It reminds me of my favorite Hourglass concealer, but not the super high price tag. I love this concealer because it applies like a serum, but it also feels really hydrating (hyaluronic acid) and the coverage is great. I picked up shade N3 and it’s a pretty good match. I’d like to try either N2 or C2 for a lighter shade for a brighter match.
2)Prequel Gleanser Non-Drying Glycerin Cleanser
I am LOVING this cleanser. First of all it’s giant and it’s only $18.00. You can safely use this on sensitive skin types and it’s made for the face and the body. It’s gentle and non-stripping. It’s formulated with 50% glycerin, aloe vera, and so many other ingredients that help keep the skin not only cleansed, but also hydrated. It’s fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and a great option for so many skin types.
3)Prequel Redness Reform Soothing Serum
This serum from Prequel has been a new part of my skincare routine and I am loving it. The gel texture of the serum feels soothing when applied (it contains Arnica, Oat, and Vitamin F) and it helps keep my redness under control. I’ve noticed a significant decrease in my cheek area (my main struggle) looking red and flushed. I use it AM/PM after I have cleansed my skin.
4)Saltair Exotic Pulp Serum Body Wash
This body wash smells like summer in a bottle. It is citrusy (Orange, Guava, and Driftwood) and smells so refreshing. It has Vitamin C, Camu Camu, and Passion Fruit Oil that help to nourish the skin. It’s like a bunch of oranges exploded in my shower. Smells so good and leaves my skin feeling so soft.
5.SkinSmart Facial Cleanser with Hypochlorous Acid
Hypochlorous Acid is a new to me skincare ingredient that has been known to help with not only acne issues, but also for redness, combatting inflammation, and would healing. It has super strong antimicrobial properties (even stronger than bleach) and yet, it’s very gentle on the skin. It can be found in numerous skincare products (serums, creams, mists) but I’ve been reaching for a mist to spray on my skin.
I had previously used the Tower 28 Beauty SOS Rescue Spray (which features the Hypochlorous Acid) and realized that I was really overpaying for this product when several other non-luxury brands had the same product available at a way lower cost. So I started using SkinSmart.
I use this in the morning before I apply my other skincare ingredients as I have read you need to allow at least 30 minutes before applying anything like Vitamin C, etc. You can spray this on-the-go after working out or if you have a scrape, etc. I do not love the smell (but it does fade) and think that it does indeed remind me of a faint bleach smell.
