It’s Monday already?!?! Where do the weekends go? HA! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for those of you who are waiting for major amounts of snow! I hope that ya’ll stay safe and warm! It’s actually quite chilly and gloomy around Atlanta today. I’ll be staying inside playing catch up on work, house chores and laundry! YUCK! It’s a typical Monday for sure.
I have been blogging now for a little over two years ( CRAZY!!) and what I’m noticing now is that, obviously I want to talk about all things Beauty because that will NEVER change or go away from this blog. It’s who I am and what I love, but I ALSO want to talk about other life topics. It might mean more personal posts (like today will be) but also more topics like recipes because I love to cook , Health topics, Books I’m obsessing over, Fashion that I’m shaking my head at or loving, sharing more stories about places I’ve traveled to, more Interior Decorating Ideas because I’m OBSESSED with that lately. *You should really check out my Pinterest boards- the Interior Decorating Board and Office Style Board is getting good!* Those are just a few I’ve been thinking about. There are going to be some changes coming to Simply Stine. Hopefully that means that you’ll find more things to enjoy reading about on here and maybe topics that will help you in some way.
Talking about more personal stories on the blog is important to me. I’ll admit that me being honest and open about certain topics is probably going to be difficult for me and I’m going to have to take baby steps at first. Talking to your friends and family is one thing, but sharing your life struggles, pains and goals with the INTERNET is a whole different ballgame folks, ha. Being a private person can be a real B#@$% sometimes. I’m sure some of you can relate to that. It’s always been a struggle for me to let people know that I was struggling or needed help because I’m always someone else’s PERSON. I am the person that is always there to listen and to help. It’s an odd feeling for me to have to be on the other end of that. I feel like this blog allows me to be a voice. I can share my struggles and joys and hopefully give you some sort of inspiration and hope. Through your comments and stories, I can also learn. I take seriously what my readers (YOU) talk to me about. I get Emails, Tweets, YouTube messages, Facebook posts, Instagram messages. I read every single comment or message that is sent to me. So maybe by me talking about real life topics, we can help each other out and continue to learn and find a place of support on this blog. I want all of my readers to feel that they are important, valued and I take your suggestions very seriously!
I wanted to take the time to write this short little note to just let you know that I’m so thankful that you take the time to read my blog. You will never know how much that means to me. I’ve gotten an opportunity to meet some amazing people through blogging and they’ve touched my life so much. I’ve also realized the importance of my voice. That the stories that I tell are valued and important to others. I hope that when you read my blog, you find the information helpful and sometimes humorous. That’s me. I love helping others and putting a smile on someone’s face. As I open up this blog to a wider variety of topics, I hope that you’ll find them helpful and inspiring and that Simply Stine will be something more to you than just a place to talk about lipsticks, but if you’d like to talk about lipsticks, I’m not going to complain. Stay tuned!!
