Rob surprised me with a trip to Sephora on Valentine’s Day. This is highly out of the norm for many reasons, but the top two that I can think of:
1. What person in their right mind, who cares nothing about makeup or skincare would voluntarily walk into a Sephora store with a Beauty Blogger?!? I mean I will look at everything, in detail, more than once. It takes me quite a bit of time to get through the store. I’m just saying…
2. I will NEVER not go to Sephora and not get something. It’s happened on rare occasions, BUT I’m guaranteed to always spend money when I go to the store. I have one-word BUDGET!
But it was Valentine’s Day and I was flattered. I had been eyeing a couple of things and I was more than happy to oblige his request to take me there, ha! What did I pick up? Nothing that I was really planning on, besides one product. There were many items I’ve been eyeing lately, BUT they were so busy and out of a lot of products. Thank goodness I purchased that Flash Subscription! I’m happy to report I was in and out in less than an hour (I think?!?) and I rewarded Rob with Godiva Ice Cream for being so patient and generous, ha!
Sephora Skincare and Makeup Haul
Another skincare brush?!? I know, but I’ve got a point with this one. While I love my Clarisonic Brush (I really do) I get tired of having to spend $30.00 on new brush heads all of the time. So while browsing Sephora, my curiosity got the best of me. I had been thinking of making a skincare brush change, BUT I love my Clarisonic so much, it makes me nervous. After talking to two Sephora Skincare Employees (ones I actually trust) I took the plunge. They gave the Foreo Luna Mini Skincare Brush great reviews and said it rarely gets returned. I’ll be testing this one out ASAP and reporting back soon. *Notice that it doesn’t have brush heads to replace!*
2. GLAMGLOW Super Cleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser ($39.00)
I’m a HUGE fan of GLAMGLOW Mud Masques. They are a holy grail, must-have product for Simply Stine. You can read about my love of the Thirsty Mud Masque by clicking here. So when GLAMGLOW released a line of skincare cleansers, I was really excited. Then I saw the price tag and then I was on a budget and well things got pushed to the side. I figured if Rob had invited me to Sephora, I should probably at least get this because it’s a product I had really been wanting to try. There are three different cleansers available an I purchased this one, the Super Cleanse. It’s a mud to foam cleanser and it promises that it’s great for problematic skin, pore refining, mattifying and clarifying. I had a struggle of which cleanser to get because my skin is oily and dry at the same time. I’ve used it a couple of times, but I’m going to keep testing it before I do a full review on it.
3. Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil ($10.00 -$28.00)
This is just a FANTASTIC Cleansing Oil from Boscia. It feels great on the skin and doesn’t irritate my overly sensitive skin at all. It removes makeup nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft. This was a last minute purchase because you know what happens once you enter the Sephora Line. All of those damn samples and travel sizes. That area kills my budget each and every time. However, this was only $10.00 and I can always use a smaller one! Want to see a full review on this? Comment below!
4. Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick (Ethereal Pink $16.00)
This is a beautiful lipstick and well, I’m a sucker for lipsticks. It appears much darker in the picture than it is in person (at least to me it does) and I love the Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipsticks because they are really moisturizing and this shade, Etheral Pink, is very sheer to me. It’s that lipstick that it basically my lip color but a little more. Let’s talk about the packaging. It’s cardboard, so I’m not sure how that’s gonna work out, but I’m going to give it a try and see how long it survives in my makeup bag. The packaging is gorgeous though!
Those were my “splurges” from Valentine’s Day. Not too many products, but that Foreo is definitely not cheap! That Luna device is gorgeous, I just love how it looks! And what a great price, cheaper than a Clarisonic mia and no brush heads (win,win!) I hope it works well for you, but I too have heard great reviews. Cant wait to read what you think! What a nice thing for your hubby to do. 🙂

Wow, looks like you picked up some great things with your man! My husband is so patient with me when I go into Sephora or Ulta and I feel like he helps me not spend as much money lol. Fingers crossed that you love the Forea! I will definitely be looking out for your review on that.

Oh, no, the Sephora Aisle of Doom is the worst! haha. You got some great stuff! I’ve heard awesome things about the Foreo Luna, and a few bloggers I follow that mentioned it and said it replaced their Clarisonic in their routines. I’d love to hear what you think of it! That aisle is the worst and the best, all at the same time! I’m really, really curious about the Foreo. I’ve only used it a couple of times so far. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and the employees about Sephora raved about it (maybe even a bit more than the Clarisonic) I’ll be doing a follow up review soon! Amazing choices. I have the Luna Mini and I love it. I can’t decide if I like it better than Clairsonic or not, but budget wise it is definitely nice not having to change the heads. This cleans up super easy. I have the Glamgldw cleanser too, but I haven’t gotten to try it yet. I can’t wait.

Yeah. I am really liking the Luna Mini. It is definitely a bit different from the Clarisonic, BUT not in a bad way. I’m still testing out the Glam Glow Cleanser. I can’t wait to see what you think about it!

How do you like the Foreo Luna Mini? I got the purple one for Christmas and am in love with it! It’s so much more gentle on the skin than the Clarisonic Mia.
