The Champagne Glow Palette by BECCA Cosmetics has been on my mind since the day it was announced. I’m an oddball, I didn’t pick up the Champagne Pop by Jaclyn Hill that everyone went nuts over. Honestly, I didn’t think I needed yet another highlighter and I wasn’t sure of the color with my fair skin. However, I was completely wrong and I’m owning up to that now. So I was really excited when they announced this palette because not only did it feature the Champagne Pop, but also two other shades that I didn’t own. WINNING!
The BECCA Champagne Pop Palette, which exclusive to Sephora, features three limited-edition Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Shades: Pearl, Champagne Pop and Blushed Copper. If you’re not familiar with BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Shades, then you are about to fall in love. These aren’t just your typical highlighting shades, they are so much more. Here’s a description from Sephora on these amazing powders:
“This bestselling formula is enriched with ultrafine luminescent pearls that absorb, reflect, and refract light so your natural radiance is never lost. Unlike the traditional pressed powder method which simply mixes and compresses dry ingredients, this unique process blends pigments with proprietary liquid binders, resulting in unparalleled, creamy application with balanced color dispersion. Like a compact full of crushed gemstones, the multi-toned, ultra-fine pigment pearls adjust to your skin’s natural undertones for a truly unique glow.”
“This palette is inspired by the festive holiday season. The shimmering shades are designed to enhance your natural beauty and allow your features to glow. Simply sweep the luxuriously creamy luminizing powders across the face or apply to targeted areas including cheekbones, browbones, and bridge of the nose to see how beautifully they catch the light.”
I love the packaging for this palette. It doesn’t feel cheaply put together at all and I love that the added that giant mirror. This would be excellent for traveling, but as I always say, make sure it’s tucked inside your luggage or carry on in a secure place because I would hate to see these colors break everywhere. They did a great job in not making this too big and bulky of a palette. Good job, BECCA!
Left to Right: Pearl, Champagne Pop and Blushed Copper
Pearl looks oh so white, but it’s beautiful on the skin. I love to apply this in the inner corner of my eyes, on the lids, and at the very highest point of my cheekbones. I use the tiniest amount of this color and it works perfect for giving me a bold, but not overdone dose of light to the skin!
Champagne Pop could possibly win for most popular highlight of the year. EVERYONE is talking about it and rightly so. It’s a gorgeous color that works on a variety of skin tones. Jaclyn Hill is a super talented makeup artist/YouTube star who created this product along with BECCA. This is described as a soft white, with peachy undertones. It’s gorgeous on the skin, on top of your lips for an added extra oomph and also as an eyeshadow!
Blushed Copper is one color that stands out the most to me from previous releases because it’s the most beautiful rose gold, but with such a lovely design, when you purchase this color in it’s regular size. However, this is a color that I wasn’t sure of for my fair skin, BUT it works great as a “topper” over my blush/ bronze shades that I apply. Could I apply this all over my cheeks as a blush, possibly, but you’d have to have the lightest touch or it wouldn’t look right on my skin tone.
Some tips for when it comes to wearing these gorgeous shades it to don’t overdo it. These are extremely pigmented and you really need to have a light hand when applying these. If you go crazy, you will end up looking like a complete disco ball, but hey, if that’s the look you’re going for, then do it! However, start off with a light amount and work the colors up to the amount that you want, slowly. Trust me! I really enjoy using a small fan brush or a blending brush to apply these. Start slow and you’ll really enjoy the colors!
Play with the colors. You can apply all three, or just choose one color to use per look. I like that Jaclyn shows where she uses the colors in the video I shared below. It’s pretty much what I’ve done. Pearl on the highest part of the cheekbone, Blushed Copper as a blush or on top of a blush and Champagne Pop along my cheekbones and around the brows. The colors work beautifully when worn together or alone.
This palette is such a fantastic buy for being $34.00 and the colors will last you such a long time because you use such a small amount when applying them. This is going to be a fantastic gift for the Holiday’s for any makeup lover in your life! I’m less impressed with this one, personally. Blushed Copper just looks so orange to me. But I’m so pale everything looks orange. And I don’t really like the way Becca is advertising it…

Yeah the blushed copper looked scary as hell to me at first, but with the right brush and the lightest touch, it’s a gorgeous topper for some blushes on my skin and I’m pretty pale myself! I liked this palette because I haven’t gotten into BECCA a lot and it was a nice way for me to try some of the colors at a lower price than if I were to go buy them individually. That’s why I picked it up.

I think it’s a lovely palette. I just find my long lost Becca rose gold skin perfecter that’s been missing for months and although I think the shade is too dark for me, I’m going to be using it. Wish I had gotten Champagne Pop instead!

Champagne Pop is a gorgeous color for sure!!!

This is such a good price! I need to go in store and swatch it b/c I’m not sure how it would look on my skin tone.

I think as long as you’re not so heavy handed with the colors, it looks gorgeous!!! If I apply a little heavy, I really have to blend it out!
