Bath Time with Haute Naked

In my job as a blogger, I come across a lot of products. From recommendations from friends to companies contacting me, I get introduced to a lot of brands I wouldn’t normally know about.  A company I recently heard about was Haute Naked. They are a small company from Oregon, that specalizes in handmade bath products.  I did a little research and decided to place an order. One of the reasons why I wanted to order from this company is because they do a lot with charity! A portion of all their sales goes towards a charity of their choice.  I had spoken to the company on Twitter a couple of times and let them know that I was placing an order.  I like to do this to see how the companies customer service is and to see what they recommend a first time user to try.  They were nice enough to get ahold of me right away and answered all of my questions.  I decided to go with a Marshmallow Bath Bomb in the scent Neapolitan Ice Cream and an Ice Cream Body Butter Scrub in the scent Sweet Pumpkin Pie.

I was so excited when my order arrived that I opened the package immediately.   As soon as I opened the box, the most delicious, sweet scent hit me.  It smelled AMAZING!   When I placed my order, I had thought I was only getting one Marshmallow Bath Bomb, so I was shocked when I saw a large package with four of them in it. I went back online and sure enough, it clearly stated that I was getting four of them.  That made me even happier.  They were also nice enough to give me a sample of the whipped body butter and a sugar cube.

So how did everything work? I was sick over the weekend and was in need of a long, hot bath so these products came at the perfect time.  I dropped in the Marshmallow Bath Bomb first and let it dissolve.  It fizzed away for a while,  releasing ingredients into the tub. It worked nicely, but I have to admit I wasn’t in love with the Neapolitan scent.  Next time I think I’ll order something else.

 I opened up the Ice Cream Body Butter Scrub and took a little bit off to use.  First of all, this has to be the cutest product I have seen in a long time! It’s looks exactly like a scoop of ice cream and smells good enough to eat! ( Don’t eat it though!) With this product I found that a little bit goes a long way! I scrubbed it in between my hands and it produced a great lather.  The scent alone had me sold. At first I was confused on how this was a scrub, but when I read more about this product I realized with sugar as an ingredient, you were getting the natural AHA’s that will exfoliate the skin.  This product was so creamy and lathered so much, I could probably use this to shave!

I also tried the Sugar Cube on my heels. This product was so pretty and looked like a little jewel!  I hadn’t had a pedicure in a while, so my heels were definitely needing some love.  This Sugar Cube smelled so good (Sweet Apple) and was the perfect size for me to hold onto.  It produced a great lather and I could really feel the sugars exfoliating nicely. Once done, my heels were silky smooth!

After using all of these products,  I applied the sample of the whipped body butter.  I wish I would have ordered a full size product of this. It’s thick and rich, but doesn’t leave your skin greasy at all.  It’s one of the best body butters I have used.  The scent wasn’t overwhelming, it was just right. I’m already having withdrawals of the product and it’s been a day.

It’s thick.  Almost like a whipped icing!

 I have to give kudos to Haute Naked for creating a product line that offers great results, at a very affordable price point.  The packaging is adorable and the products themselves are bright and colorful!  I love that this company offers a great line of products, supports charities and has great customer service.  We should all support more small business like this!
