I’m a sucker for new mascaras. I am not picky who makes them, just as long as they work. I have found several that I really like, but my search still continues for the perfect one. I was in Target and saw the new COVERGIRL Flamed Out Mascara and couldn’t resist.

First of all, I love the bold packaging! It’s gorgeous and really stands out. Another plus is that it is actually a really good mascara! It’s not going to give you huge, false-like lashes, but if you are looking for a natural look with a little extra help, then this is a good option. The brush on this mascara isn’t too big, but it’s bigger than some. It’s supposed to be made of wire that will “wing your eyelashes up and out.” I’m not sure it made a dramatic difference, but you can look at the pictures below to see my before and after. I like this mascara for giving me a little bit of help, but still keeping my lashes natural looking.
I didn’t have any issues with it clumping and it didn’t seem to wear off at all. To me this isn’t a very “thick” mascara formula at all. I purchased this in the shade Very Black Blaze and its a really nice, deep black color. If you are interested in a water-proof version of this you are in luck!

This mascara can be picked up anywhere that carries COVERGIRL products. It retails for $7.49, but I have seen it on sale several times. Make sure to check out sales before you pick it up! I’ll be reviewing a couple other products from this collection (Flamed Out) so be sure to be on the look out for those posts!
