Today I’m sharing my December 2023 Reading List. Overall I was able to finish out the year with a couple of incredible reads. My final book count for 2023 was 75 books. My goal for the year was 65 so I’m really pleased that I exceeded my goal. Why? It just means that I’m allowing myself making time for myself to still read.

Just For The Summer by Abby Jimenez
5⭐️ (Found Family, Fake Dating, Guardian, Dual POV)
Purchase the book: Bookshop/Amazon
4 Dates, 1 Kiss, and a breakup…..
This book will not be available for purchase until April 2, 2024. So please do me a favor and just pre-order this book. It was incredible. An absolute 5 star read for me. I laughed out loud. I cried way more than once. It had easter eggs from her previous books (which you should also read.) It deals with some heavy topics like parental issues, mental health struggles, and I think Justin might just be the book boyfriend of the year. OMG he was incredible.
All the stars for Abby’s latest. Thanks to Read Forever and Abby Jimenez for an advanced copy.
Wildfire (Maple Hills #2) by Hanna Grace
4⭐️ (One night stand, fairly spicy, family issues, addiction mentioned)
Purchase the book: Bookshop/Amazon
This is book #2 in the Maple Hills series by Hannah Grace. The first book in the series was Icebreaker which was about Nate and Anastasia. Read my review of Icebreaker!
Russ and Aurora have a one night stand at a college party and of course they end up running into one another at their summer job. The Summer Camp they work at doesn’t allow fraternization so this makes quite the predicament for rule follower Russ.
This book is pretty light but does mention topics such as family abandonment and addiction. It’s got some spicy scenes that are not closed door so fyi. Overall a pretty good read!
Terms and Conditions (Dreamland Billionaires #2 by Lauren Asher
4⭐️ (Pretty spicy, Fake Marriage, Pregnancy)
Purchase the book: Bookshop/Amazon
Declan is all on board for becoming CEO of his families business (aka fake Disney) BUT there is one problem: He doesn’t have a wife and hasn’t had children as his grandfather’s inheritance clause states as a requirement. Iris, his assistant, decides that she can handle marrying him and in the end, she’ll land some serious money. Fake marriage? No problem or so they thought.
I felt like this book took quite a while to get to the spicy scenes so keep that in mind if that annoys you. Overall I enjoyed this one even though I found it somewhat predictable. The ending was adorable though and I can’t wait to read the third (and final I believe) book in the series.
