My easy Crock Pot Chicken and Dumplings Recipe is not only delicious, but it’s super easy to throw together when you’ve got a busy day ahead of you. Let it cook in the crock pot anywhere from 6-8 hours and you’ve got yourself a tasty meal that requires hardly any prep at all. Let’s dig in!
The beauty of this recipe is that the Dumplings are made from canned biscuits. While this isn’t the same Chicken and Dumplings that my Grandmother made, it’s honestly still a great recipe. Sometimes I think it’s ok to take shortcuts when it comes to cooking and by using a canned biscuit dough in this recipe, it saves a lot of steps and a lot of time. Yet, it’s still delicious!
Chicken and Dumplings With A Twist
Now, not all chicken and dumplings recipes will call for veggies to be included. I did this because I think it’s a great idea to sneak some veggies into a recipe. So feel free to add whatever or take out what you don’t want. Totally up to you! Sometimes when I’m running extra low on time and I don’t want to have to cut up all of the veggies, I’ll buy a can of organic veggies and throw it in. Easy and simple!
Simple Dinner But Great Taste
This is one of those recipes that you basically throw it in the pot and go and I’m all about that life sometimes. I feel like you can’t mess up this recipe. The chicken gets so tender that you can easily shred it. The sauce is amazing and the biscuits are so good because they soak up that cream sauce in the recipe. It’s fantastic and the best recipe when the cooler temperatures start to hit!
I plan on sharing more recipes like this with you guys more often because I hear how busy so many of you are and that you really struggle with putting a good dinner on the table at the end of the day. I get it and I’m here to help!
