I’ve never done an empties post. Some people think that they are pretty pointless, BUT in my defense, it’s a pretty big deal when I actually use up a product. As a beauty blogger, I get exposed to A LOT of products, which means that I’m always trying new ones. That also means I have a constant rotation of products that take me a really long time (if ever) before they are all used up. I was quite surprised when I saw the amount of products which I used up fully and I figured I should share because if I’m using them up, that’s pretty impressive and it’s kinda odd that I have a bunch of empty product bottles laying around. Just saying.
These are products I’ve used up basically entirely.
1. CVS Clarifying Body Wash (Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment) ($5.49)
I got this because I had started to randomly break out on my chest and legs. I don’t know what was going on, but this took care of the problem! This is basically the same thing as the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash, but was a lot cheaper. I don’t use this daily, but a couple of times a week to keep any unwanted breakouts away.
2. LUSH Ocean Salt Face And Body Scrub ($21.95 and up)
I need to go to LUSH immediately because I hate being out of the Ocean Salt Scrub. I adore the way it smells, love the way it exfoliates and I like that I can also use this on my face. it features Coarse and fine sea salt, organic lime juice and avocado butter. It’s perfect for exfoliating before self tanning!! This is a HG product for sure!!
3. Redken Sheer Straight 06
This is made for fine hair, which I don’t have, but I like that this gel doesn’t weight down my hair and it really helps with the frizz control. I use this on damp hair before I blow dry and it helps keep my hair frizz free, soft and prep’d for the flat iron. I don’t think they make this product anymore, which is a HUGE bummer. I’m going to have to find an alternative!
4. Paula’s Choice RESIST Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum ($25.50)
This is a serum made for people with normal to oily skin types. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which helps fight the signs of aging and helps keep shine and redness under control. If you suffer from breakouts, enlarged pores and want to fight the signs of aging-This is the product for you! Once again, Paula’s Choice created a product that I adore and it’s at a super affordable price! You can’t go wrong with this one!
5. Intelligent Nutrients Harmonic Shampoo ($8.00 and up)
This shampoo was suggested to me when I was having some dry scalp issues. I love the way it tingles on my scalp and it’s very lightweight. I only got a sample size bottle, but I will be re-purchasing this for sure! It’s made without sulfates, parabens, silicones and all of those not so great additives. This is a good shampoo for any hair type! I also got the conditioner, but it’s not empty yet! I don’t necessarily have to use that everyday because the Harmonic Shampoo is very moisturizing.
6. Taylor St. Black Raspberry Vanilla Whipped Soap ($9.00)
This is a first for me. I’ve never used anything like this soap before, but I love it! It smells SO good and it makes my skin so soft! It features Rice Bran Oil to soften the skin and no artificial fragrances! I can’t get over how good this smells and it really does lather great. I use about a quarter size of this product on my shower loofa and use as normal. I can’t wait to re-order a new whipped soap! I think this next time I might try either the Rosemary Mint or Coconut Cabana scent!
7. MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus NW20 ($27.00)
I love this powder. I use it to set my makeup and I keep it with me when I’m on the go. I finally have hit pan and it’s time I get another one. It keeps my shine away and it matches my skin perfectly. I love that it’s not heavy at all and it really sets my makeup nicely!
8. Paula’s Choice RESIST Pure Radiance Skin Brightening Treatment ($22.40)
This product contains plant and vitamin based ingredients that help fade those pesky dark spots and keep them away for good! I love the way this product feels on my skin. It’s super soft and silky and very, very lightweight and it instantly gives my skin a radiant glow. This also helps with anti-aging as it contains skin repairing and antioxidants that help target signs of anti-aging! I’ve used so much of this product that there isn’t even one drop left, ha!
9. Caudalie Prmier Cru The Eye Cream ($99.00) ****I got a sample of this from Birchbox, I think
I’ve had this eye cream tucked in one of my spare product drawers and I’ve been using it and wow, I really love this eye cream. I have super sensitive eyes that don’t seem to do too great with most eye products. This makes my eyes seem hydrated, less puffy and my dark circles didn’t seem to be as bad. Yes, $99 is a crazy amount of money for eye cream, BUT this is a fantastic product that I’d really consider re-purchasing. If you have issues with eye creams, this is a good one!
10. Nourish Rosemary Mint Salt Scrub ($24.00)
When I”m in Savannah, I MUST stop in Nourish. It’s the cutest shop and I’ve really fallen in love with their products. I got the Rosemary Mint Salt Scrub for my husband, but let’s be honest and admit that I pretty much knew I’d be using it as well. I love how it smells (I have the lotion also) and I love how soft it makes my skin feel and super moisturized. It contains dead sea salts, coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and rosemary and peppermint essential oils. They will ship products if there isn’t a location near you (I”m still BEGGING for a location in Atlanta).
11. Paula’s Choice RESIST BHA 9 ($34.00)
This product does so much and I’ve finally used up the bottle that I had. I need to re-purchase this product ASAP! I’ve noticed such a difference in my pores and any pesky white bumps I’ve had have simply disappeared. Here’s some info from Paula’s Choice website that talks about all of the benefits from using this product:
BHA 9 can do all of the following:
- Unclog pores with the first use
- Diminish white bumps
- Minimize enlarged pores
- Refine and smooth skin’s texture
- Minimize sebaceous hyperplasia
- Smooth and soften dry, rough patches
- Help balance oily skin
- Fade red marks from breakouts
- Reduce breakouts
So you can obviously tell that I”m a HUGE fan of Paula’s Choice. Their skincare line is phenomenal and I’m a big fan of products that actually deliver results. I enjoyed using each of the products I listed above and I’ll re-purchase most of them. Did you try any new products that you loved or any that left you wondering why you wasted the money on them? I’d love to know!
Some of the products mentioned above were sent to me for review. Others were purchased by Simply Stine. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Brandi-
You will LOVE the product line. I have never been so happy with a product line as I have with Paula’s Choice. I like that they have actual facts to back up their results. Not too many companies will share that information. Also, they have fantastic customer service and will send you samples!! let me know if you have any questions about their products!! -Christine

That is a HUGE deal and it really says a lot about a product if you use the whole thing! I don’t even finish sample sizes half the time so I have virtually no empties!

Empties are good – now you can add more to your stash!
I really like my Paula’s Choice products. I’m sure there are others I could try, but so far so good with what I use!
Christine says
Haha. Yes, it can be very hard to use up all of the products I get. Most of the time (unless I really, really like them) they get passed along to others!

Finally, someone who loves Paula’s Choice! I’ve been loving her products for a few years now, and the 2% BHA gel is something I use pretty much every night. I love these empties posts alot, and I do one every month!
