Today I’m sharing my February 2024 reading list. Overall, it was a really great month of reading. If I had to pick a favorite out of what I read, I’d probably have to go with The Women by Kristin Hannah. I loved the storyline about friendship and the bonds between women. Plus, learning more about women who were in the Vietnam War was so interesting. Here are the books that I read in February.

The Women by Kristin Hannah
Kristin Hannah just knows how to do historical fiction. She wrote The Nightingale, which happens to be my absolute favorite book I’ve ever read. Now, she has released The Women, a story about women in the Vietnam War. I purchased the book, as well as the audiobook because I found out Julia Whelan narrated it. I would listen to Julia Whalen narrate the phone book.
This book had my attention from the first chapter. While I have read about the Vietnam War, I haven’t really heard anything about the women who were a part of the war. This book is that storyline. It’s emotional and the story really shed a light on PTSD and other health and mental issues veterans went through coming home from the war.

Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young
Let me say that this book does feature an accidental pregnancy, so if that isn’t your thing, just know that ahead of time. While I’m not normally a fan of this storyline, I wanted to give this book a shot as so many people loved it. After reading it, I can see why. Win and Bo have a one night stand and well, you can guess what happens. Their friendship was so sweet and I think that Bo might be the sweetest, nicest book boyfriend ever.
Overall a very cute story and I love that it also features physical disabilities in the storyline. Also, don’t let this cute cover fool you as this book was SPICY!

Uncle Of The Year by Andrew Rannalls
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Andrew Rannalls. His character on Girls was so good and he’s a super talented broadway star as well. Plus, he’s in the latest Trolls movie and that soundtrack is fantastic. HA! ANYWAYS….I really enjoyed his latest book Uncle of The Year. His collection of essays was very funny, but also had such tender moments about his life and his successes. I great read, BUT I wish I would have listened to him narrate the audiobook.

From Blood and Ash by Jennifer Armentrout
This has been my latest audiobook that I listened to. This whole series has been on my TBR pile for quite some time and I needed a new audiobook, so I just started it. I’m really happy that I did. This first book really grabbed my attention, but I did feel like it took a bit to get me there. However, that’s not unusual in fantasy books where the author is setting up the story and the whole world the characters are in.
I really enjoyed this book and am excited to see where the storyline goes. There is a romance element to this storyline, but that’s not the entire storyline so far. I’ve already started on the second book in the series!
