I’ve got quite a pile of products that I’m currently trying so I thought today that I’d do a first impressions post and talk to you about some of these products. I am not going to go into each product with a lot of detail, but enough to give you a good, solid first impression on what I thought about it since most of these products that I’m using are a little new-to-me. Shall we start? **If you aren’t into reading about all of the products, but would rather watch a video, scroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll see that I filmed another video! Enjoy!**
1. Glam Glow FlashMud ($69.00)
I’ve used this now twice and so far it’s still going pretty good. No sensitive issues to report at all. I have HUGE expectations for this product because GlamGlow has so far released some amazing products. Plus a $69.00 price tag is a hefty price tag. It says to use this product 3 days in a row and then follow up with it 2-3 weekly after that. You must make sure to use a high SPF with this product. So my first impressions? It’s a nice exfoliation and it smells lovely. It did leave my skin feeling rather polished and it gave me a really nice luminous look BUT I wouldn’t say it was anything that really made me think it was amazing….yet. I’m going to finish up and see what happens after I use it some more.
2. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream ($30.00)
For those of you who have seriously dry, dehydrated, sensitive skin-this is amazing! It’s a really rich cream, but it doesn’t sit on your skin and make it feel greasy at all. It settles into my skin and leaves me with hydrated skin. If you have any skin issues at all and struggle finding a good hydrating moisturizer, I think this might be the one! Psst You can also use this on any other area of the body where you have dry patches!!
3. First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy ($36.00)
I like to use this eye product in the AM because it’s a little more of a “helper” since it features a nice peachy color corrector. Does this take away all of my dark circle issues? Not always, but it’s a great helper! This really brightens up my under eyes. Plus, I like the metal tip for helping to de-puff in the morning. As far as being hydrating enough? I have to use a heavier one at night to be able to use this one. Just an FYI!
4. First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Purifying Mask ($30.00)
I haven’t used this one yet, BUT I’m going to this weekend! It’s an actual peel that is supposed to help with enlarged pores and excess oil control. I’m hoping it’s a winner! I’ll let you know once I start using it!
5. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery ($38.00)
Call me skeptical, but I don’t know why I doubted this product so much. When I first applied it, it just seemed like water in a bottle. I as WAY WRONG! This little bottle has left my skin feeling so hydrated and has helped my redness drastically! I’ll be talking about this product and all of the other First Aid Beauty products I’ve been loving in a separate post soon!
6. Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil ($105.00)
I’ve really been trying to introduce myself to the Sunday Riley brand lately. First with the Juno Oil and now with the Luna Sleeping Night Oil. The Luna is a night time only oil because it features a Retinol. This Retinol product is unlike many others that I can’t use because this one actually features some helpful ingredients for those of us who find Retinol a little on the strong side. I’ve had no issues with using this product yet and in the morning I wake up with glowy, even looking skin. I’m going to talk about this product in another post because there’s so much to it, but first impressions are so/so right now. It’s a good product, I just want to see as I continue to use it, if I still feel it’s worth such a high price tag!
7. Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser ($45.00)
This cleanser has been one of the best I’ve used in a very long time. Not only does it smell absolutely like a spa service in a bottle, but it leaves my pores looking smaller and my skin instantly hydrated and refreshed. The first time I used it I fell in love. I don’t say that often when it comes to cleansers at all. This one is a keeper.
8. LUSH Mask of Magnaminity ($12.95 to $24.95)
A deep cleansing face and back mask that will clean, exfoliate, hydrate and soothe. I haven’t used this one that many times yet, BUT it feels refreshing when you apply it and it leaves the skin feeling very hydrated and smooth. I’ll be doing another post on this one soon. I will say that this is just one of those products that I feel will be really beneficial this summer time!
9. LUSH Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner ($32.95)
This lovely rose scented shower lotion will leave your skin smelling lovely and your feel really soft! For those of us who want to treat our skin to a little extra while in the shower, I can’t suggest these “lotions” enough. Just wash your body as and then lather this all over your skin and rinse off. Pat the skin dry and you’ve got yourself a more moisturized feeling skin! No need for added lotions or oils after the shower!! Saves time and leaves your skin feeling great!
10. Acure Organics Shave ($7.50)
The first all-natural shave gel?!? YEP! Leave it to the amazing people at ACURE Organics to come up with the first air powered shaving gel that features a shaving gel with ingredients like Aloe, Blue Chamomile and Calendula. I’ve really, really been enjoying this Shave Gel. It lathers up, but still has that thick gel-like texture and it leaves my legs feeling really soft. I have been known to have issues with shaving and since using this, I haven’t noticed any razor bumps or sensitivity at all! This is why I love ACURE Organics so much! Affordable prices and excellent products!
11. Lipstick Queen Frog Prince ($25.00)
This lipstick reacts with your very own PH levels in the skin to give you a totally original pink shade. Yeah, not green! Don’t be fooled by the color of this lipstick! The actual product itself leaves my lips feeling moisturized and provides a really lovely shade of pink! So far I like it!
12. Bare Minerals Original Foundation ($28.00 I use Fairly Light)
An oldie but goodie! I stopped using this a long time ago and I don’t know why. I ordered a new one on a whim recently and I’ve been using it ever since. Sometimes I’ll use it alone on days where I don’t want to wear a lot of makeup and other times I’ll set my makeup using this. I love that it gives me an SPF and it covers so nicely, without feeling heavy on my skin.
13. YSL Full Metal Shadow (Taupe Drop) ($30.00)
This metallic-ish looking cream eyeshadow from YSL is indulgent. The color is beautiful and the formula really applies lovely, BUT I’m still not sure if I like it enough to justify the price tag. It is a gorgeous color, but I still don’t get a really long wear time with this compared to some lesser priced products. I’m going to keep using it and see…
14. YSL Pop Water Glossy #208 Wet Nude ($36.00)
A lovely nude-pink lip gloss that gives my lips just enough color. This isn’t a really wet, sticky lipgloss, but you’ll know it’s on your lips. I will say that when I wear this lip gloss, my lips do feel extremely hydrated. Worst the price tag?!? I’d say if you have extra money to splurge on a really lovely product, then yes. If not, you can find similar products for much less at the drugstore.
15. Touche Eclat #2 ($42.00)
I will master the Touche Eclat! It’s a goal!! HA! Makeup Artists always use this on me and I always feel like it looks so dramatic and lovely when they apply it and when I do, I’m left telling myself “It’s ok…” Another product that I feel there are other less expensive options available, but it is worth a splurge to treat yourself! This highlighting product can be used under the eye to brighten the eye area and anywhere else on the face! Cheeks, chin, forehead, eyes. Anywhere!
16. Dr. Jart Pore Minimalist Mask ($8.00 and up)
It’s a goal in life to minimize my pores and I’ll try any product that claims it will help. Seriously. I enjoyed this sheet mask, but I think I need to continue to use it more and more to see results. I felt like my pores were a bit smaller and my skin seemed hydrated and refreshed, but I’d like to continue to use this and see what results I can get! Sheet masks are a great way to customize your skin care!
17. Redken Blonde Idol BBB Spray ($10.00 and up)
I just picked this up at my Salon the last time I was in for a touch up on my color. I wanted a product to use on my hair that would protect my color when I was out in the sun this summer, plus this will also help protect your hair when you are using heated styling tools on it! It’s just a leave in conditioner basically. I’ll be reporting back on this one as I use it more! So far, it’s good!
Whew! That’s a lot of products! Obviously as I stated before, these are mere first impressions of products I’m using or products I’m about to use. The products I haven’t used yet, I just wanted to include if you had any questions about them, etc. So stay tuned for more reviews! Today’s your lucky day! I also filmed a video! Do you like watching videos more than reading the blog? Comment below! I’m always trying to decide if it’s worth it to continue to do videos as well!
PS: I’ll have an update on my Paleo Journey maybe this weekend! I don’t normally post on the weekends, but why not?!? Ha!
Some products mentioned were sent to me for review purposes. All thoughts and options are my own. Affiliate Links Included.

OMG, so many wonderful products you’re trying out! I have the FAB Ultra Repair Cream and another of the eye products and I love them both. I have my fingers crossed that a former client of mine will get a job at FAB coz I think it’s a great brand. I haven’t tried the Lipstick Queen Frog Prince, but I tried Hare’s version, and it was fun to try. The Touche Eclat has always been on my wish list
Christine C. says
LOVE FAB! The Touche Eclat is a nice splurge item, but there are other items out there that are a lower price that work just as nicely I think! But I always suggest, if you’ve never tried the YSL, you must splurge once!

GlamGlow and First Aid Beauty are game changers for your skin!! What are your concerns and I can try to help make some suggestions!
Erica says
Which First Aid Beauty products should I start out with? My skin is typically oily and acne-prone, but definitely dries up in winter. Battling blackheads is also always a struggle for me!
Tess Galen says
So many items! Can you just uhhh give them all to me? Ok thanks. Some of these have been on my list for awhile. Hopefully I can pick them up soon!
Christine C. says
I would if I could! I wish I could open my beauty “office” up and let everyone play!

YAY for all the FAB products!! I haven’t tried a few of the items you mentioned from the line, so I must add those to my list. You’ve got quite a collection of newbies, and sharing is caring…soooo.. haha 😉

OMG girl you have a load of amazing goodies. I am totally obsessing over your IG feed of all these goodies- I want all the Sunday Riley line, lol.. I trust you, so I am so getting the Ceramic Slip, I need it!!! The Luna is on my list too. Have you seen any special difference or anything at all? It looks dreamy… xoxo
Christine C. says
You need this Jamie! I’ll say that I haven’t used it long enough to form a final verdict, but I know my skin and most of the time when I use products with Retinol (etc) I end up being too sensitive to use them. This hasn’t irritated my skin at all. It seems brighter, more luminous and has helped with pore size and my redness a lot! I know for a fact that I’m in love with the cleanser, but so far I’m really enjoying the Luna Oil as well!

I’ve been curious about Sunday Riley, it sounds really nice.
