Podcasts have been a thing for a while now. They’re fantastic to listen to when you’re working out or sitting in traffic. They make the time go by so much faster! I got seriously addicted to Serial ( who didn’t?!?) and another one that I really enjoy listening to is The Lively Show. If you aren’t familiar with the Lively Show, I highly suggest you go take a look! It’s a great Podcast if you are interested in finding ways to inspire and uplift your life. It’s all about living intentionally and I just adore this Podcast.

Today, which is actually Thursday as I’m typing this, there was a new podcast that I listened to from The Lively Show and it was all about our hormones and how to really optimize our hormones for all aspects of our life. I’ve been open about my struggles with PCOS, Endometriosis and Infertility, so this podcast really hit home.
This episode featured a woman by the name of Alisa Vitti, who is an integrated nutritionist and hormone specialist. Alisa was also diagnosed with PCOS! She went to a lot of doctors and specialists to bascally be told the same thing, that there wasn’t really a cure and that she would probably not be able to have children as a result of PCOS. How did she come to find out she had PCOS? She went through a long period of time in her life where unexplained “things” were happening to her. She wasn’t getting a period, she was gaining a lot of weight, she was dealing with severe acne, depression and sleep issues. These are all symptoms of PCOS.
Alisa is interesting to me because she has come up with a program on how to optimize your hormones, she’s also written a book called WomanCode and she has a website geared towards women 25-45 called flo living. The most interesting part of her story? She’s turned her diagnosis of having PCOS into something that isn’t stopping her from having a normal life. She talks more about this on the podcast and I find her whole story so fascinating.

I listened to this podcast and just felt this sense of OH MY GOD!!! She knows what I’m going through!! Finally someone who understands! I immediately ordered her book. So I urge you to take a listen to this podcast. It’s so informative for ALL women, especially those who do suffer. I’ll keep you updated on the book and what I thought!
Are there any podcasts that you love? Anything you think I’d like? Comment below because I’d love to hear your suggestions!
