I was asked, when they dropped off the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, how likely I would be on a scale of 1-10, to recommend the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport to someone I know and I had to be honest and say a 5. I figured that put me halfway between no way and heck yeah! I am not familiar with Mitsubishi at all. I’ve never owned a car from them nor have I been in one. So I was really excited to get the opportunity to give the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport a drive!
First thing I noticed about this car was the intense (in a good way) Blue! It’s a gorgeous color called Octane Blue and I loved it. I have a white car and having something so fun and different really showed me that maybe I need to be more open when it comes to choosing colors for my cars, ha! It’s a sporty looking CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) that is the perfect sized car for me. Have a small family, this would totally work for you. It also worked for us for just running around doing errands or picking up friends. It’s got a great amount of room to be comfortably driven, but again, it’s not so huge that I feel like I’m driving a tank around town. That means for a nice break on my budget for gas as well!
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport was comfortable on the inside. Not too fancy, but it was exactly what you’d need in a car. The car that I was given did not have Navigation, but it is available! Some of the accessories that were available on the model I drove included a Rear Back Up Camera, Aluminum Pedals, Power Folding Side Mirrors, a Glass Roof with ambient lighting that offers an amazing view for all of your passengers, Paddle Shifters, Fuse Handsfree System with Bluetooth, XM Radio, an amazing sound system from Rocksford-Fosgate, Touchscreen Audio Display, Heated Leather Seats and so much more. So it’s not just a basic vehicle by any means!
When I turned the car back into DriveShop, they asked me the same question again. How likely would I be to recommend the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. This time I said a 9. It’s a fantastic vehicle for so many people. It’s got a great price tag starting under $30,000 and it’s loaded with way more features that I feel are more than basic, standard accessories.
I love getting the opportunity to work with DriveShop and being able to test drive new cars that I otherwise would know nothing about. I’ve been the first to admit that I’m no car “pro” at all. In fact, I’m just a girl who happens to spend a lot of time in the car thanks to Atlanta traffic, but I know what I like when it comes to a car and what I don’t like. I might not know a lot about what’s under the hood, but I hope that you’ll all find my reviews informative and helpful when it comes to a lot of the things we (and I mean people like me who don’t know a lot, but are looking for information) are looking for in vehicles. This is done Simply Stine style, ha!

I love that color blue! I usually prefer the neutral colors, but that is gorgeous! I’ve always liked the Mitsubishi commercials, but I have not been in one of their automobiles either. That looks like a small crossover, so not sure it would work for me, but it has some nice features. The ambient lighting is different too – kind of a neat feature. The backup camera is a great thing. I hope to always have that in my vehicle. This Driveshop is such a neat idea. Love that you get to try out all these different vehicles and give your review. How did this one do on gas mileage? Was it just a smaller engine (4 cylinder)? I’m sure you’ll know all the answers. lol
It would easily work for you! It’s much more roomier than it appears. That’s one of the reasons I liked it so much! The Gas Mileage was great on this and way better than what I’m getting with my Jeep for sure! It was a smaller engine, which I am not the biggest fan of just because around here with traffic, I need pick up, but it wasn’t horrible!
I don’t think I’ve ever been in a Mitsubishi, either. The color is stunning! It looks like a good size. Even though I live in Texas, I really don’t like to drive around in gigantic vehicles. lol It has a lot of great features!
That’s exactly why I loved this car. It was big enough without feeling like I was driving a bus!
Must be very fun to test new cars! Not a fan of the color though.
It’s fun! I didn’t think I’d like the color at all and then it grew on me!!!
