It’s that time of year when I start doing my annual Holiday baking. Today I thought I’d share some holiday cookie recipes that are not only family recipes, but also some that I found on Pinterest that caught my attention. In all honesty, I do love a good holiday cookie!
I’m also going to be sharing two more family Holiday Cookie Recipes in the coming weeks! First will be our Peanut Butter Kiss Cookie recipe. I see these cookies all over Pinterest, but they’re very complicated recipes. Our family recipe is four ingredients. It’s so easy.
This is a recipe from my husbands side of the family and wow are they good. They’re essentially a shortbread like bottom, topped with milk chocolate and pecans. They are so, so good. Plus, they’re easy to prepare!
Another recipe from my MIL. You guys, I could eat an entire bowl of these. They are sweet but not too sweet. I look forward to these every year. Don’t worry, the rum isn’t super strong as far as the taste. These are a for sure must make for me year after year.
No Bake Almond Butter & Chocolate Oatmeal Bars
I shared this recipe on Simply Stine previously and I’m sharing again because maybe you’re looking for a recipe to gift for the Holidays that isn’t full of super unhealthy ingredients. This is a great recipe to prepare. Almond Butter, Oats, Honey, Dried Fruit, and Chocolate. SO GOOD!
I found this recipe while browsing Pinterest and I am going to try to make them this year. I LOVE a good Butter Cookie. We have a bakery that we love and I always pick up their Butter Cookies while I’m there. Can’t wait to try this recipe.
My mom always made these growing up and I feel I have to continue the tradition because they’re so, so good. I believe some people refer to these as 7 Layer Bars as well. Graham Cracker Crust, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Coconut, and Chocolate. I also like to add Butterscotch Chips as well! This recipe calls for pecans, which I’ve never added.
So this isn’t actually gingerbread, but instead these are made with sugar cookie dough. I thought this recipe looked super helpful and it has me actually considering attempting royal icing once more. I tried several years ago and you guys, it was a total fail. These look like a possibility!
Peppermint Frosted Brownie Cookies
These sound incredible and everyone in my house loves a good brownie. Add peppermint and I’m sure it’s going to be a hit!
What will be some recipes that you’ll be making?
