Julep Maven May 2013 Classic With A Twist

The May Julep box was incredible! It was probably one of my favorite boxes I’ve ever gotten. Why? Because it had lipsticks! I know most of you are probably a little confused right now, thinking, isn’t Julep supposed to be all about nails? Yeah, they are a nail company, but they have expanded into other products as well. The good news is that their other products seem to be really good!

This month I chose the Classic With A Twist Collection. It had 2 nail polishes, a lipstick trio and a fun little extra packet of very cute bobbi pins with flowers on them. I filmed a video so you can see exactly what I got! Take a look below.

The lipsticks have a nice wear to them and they last a decent amount of time. Some are more pigmented than others, but overall, I was really impressed with them. Plus, the packaging is super cute! As far as the nail polishes, both were super cute and very pretty. I loved the red color (Myrtle) and will get a lot of use out of that. The light frosted pink (Zora) was cute as well, but wasn’t one of my favorites. That’s not to say I won’t wear it though. I tend to go for more bolder colors.

I also got to try some of the other products they sent out for May (see video) and enjoyed those as well. I really love how Julep has branched out and has added new items to their line. Next month is also going to include makeup. They are introducing their DD Cream and new concealer. I’m already excited!
