My June 2024 reading list is here! While I didn’t read that many books this month, I finally finished Queen of Shadows by SJM that was a whopping 672 pages long. It’s still a fantastic fantasy series and I am already starting on the tandem read of book five and six of the series.

The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️
Purchase the book on Bookshop.org / Amazon
Purchase the audiobook on Libro.fm / Audible
The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren was such a great summer read. Fake marriage. One bed. Millionaire husband. Dual POV. Family Drama. Shopping moment reminiscent of Pretty Woman. Major chemistry!
I went back and forth between the audiobook and reading my physical copy. I enjoyed the audio narration a lot. This was an easy read (and I mean that in a good way) and exactly what I needed after finishing another SJM book. IYKYK.
I’d like to volunteer as tribute to go to a luxury island for two weeks. 😬 The setting for this book made me want to book a trip asap and just go sit on a beach.
Also, the spice was spicy!!! 🌶️ 🌶️
Overall a great book! I love how they always have great banter between their characters. Highly recommend. I think this would make a great movie. Romance and family drama (his dad was 😬) always make a great story.

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This is the fourth book in the Throne of Glass series by SJM and overall, it didn’t disappoint. I feel like things are moving right along, and this series is about to get even more brutal as Aelin’s story continues. This was action packed and at times, I had no idea what to expect. The only bit of criticism I will add is that there were parts that I felt like were a tad too long, but again, she’s still setting up this epic battle that I know will come.
This book made me scream, cry, and showed me why I’m such a fan of SJM’s books. I don’t want to get into any of the details, as I don’t want to spoil any of it for those of you who haven’t read it yet. I’m hooked. My BFF just finished the series and I kept asking her which she loved more: ACOTAR or ToG and she answered ToG and honestly, I think I can see why.
