I love LUSH Cosmetics products and was so excited when I was gifted several of my favorites this year for Christmas. I thought I’d share some of those products with you and give you a little bit of information on each of the products. If you aren’t familiar with Lush, you need to visit their website and take a look or if you are a lucky one and have a store near you, go take a visit. I love visiting Lush stores because they are so informative and helpful. They encourage you to smell all the products and give them a try. They will even do services on guests from time to time. Maybe a facial or a hand treatment. If you don’t live close to the store, then make sure to visit their website. It’s loaded with information!
Karma Kream has to be hands down my absolute favorite body lotion. This light, but amazing scent contains orange, patchouli, pine oil, lavendine and lemongrass. I’ve said this a million times, but if I were to just read the label and see the ingredients, I’d never even smell this product. I HATE the smell of patchouli normally. It reminds me of dirty, college dorm rooms. However, this lotion is simply fantastic. The texture of the product is very silky and hydrates my skin perfectly. It’s not heavy, but my skin feels so soft after I apply it. I love to wear this lotion not only for the hydrating benefits, but because the scent lingers on the skin. It’s not as noticeable as a strong perfume, but it just leaves a little something. This lotion could very easily be a unisex scent. It’s a tad bit on the pricey side, BUT this giant pot of lotion will last you a very long time. ($7.9oz $28.95)
Ocean Salt is a lovely scrub that can be used on the face or body. It features sea salts, avocado butter, coconut fat, lime and vodka. It’s very exfoliating and also has anti-bacterial properties. It will leave your skin soft, your face bright and refreshed. To me, this isn’t a typical scrub consistency that we are used to. It’s not harsh or rough, instead its more creamy and doesn’t feel like it’s tearing my skin apart. I hadn’t used this scrub in a while and as soon as I used it, I remembered how much I loved it all over again. ($21.95-$35.95)
Lemony Flutter is a product I tried on a whim one day while visiting a LUSH store and I’m so happy I did. The packages says its for cuticles, but to be honest, I use it on my heels, elbows and anywhere that is really dry. It’s the thickest product I’ve ever used and it smells so good. This product features cold pressed avocado oils, flaxseed oils, mango butters and lemon and lavender oils among a ton of other ingredients. It’s very hydrating and it’s the best product I’ve used for my cuticles and hands. While it feels super heavy and rich, once you massage it into the skin, it sinks right in. It’s a lovely treat for dry, cracked heels. I rub this on and then put on a nice, soft pair of socks and let it sink in. (1.5oz $16.95)
Friends With Benefits Massage Bar features marigold oil and fair trade organic cocoa butter and cocoa absolute. It’s fantastic for dry skin. If you aren’t familiar with Lush Massage Bars, they have several to choose from. This is the first time I’ve used this particular one, but it smells nice and leaves my skin feeling very soft. One word of caution, this will leave your skin pretty greasy if you apply quite a bit. I normally use this and let it soak into my skin before I go to bed. You MUST keep these bars stored in either the tin that they offer at LUSH or something else that you have. I really like the massage bars from LUSH that I’ve tried. I don’t know that this one is my favorite, but it worked great.
I also got some Bath Bombs, but didn’t photograph them. I think I’m going to do a separate post/video on these. I think that the bath bombs and bubble bars from LUSH are some of my favorite products that they have and I’d like to get into a bit more detail and show a video of how some of them work. So, be on the look out for that!
Lush will always be on of my favorite brands. They do a lot of good and I love the fact that they are all about educating their guests on ways to better take care of themselves with better ingredients and products. Not only do their products smell amazing, but they really do work. They are now introducing several LUSH Spas’s in the US and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for an Atlanta location sometime in the future.
