It’s been a weekend you guys. I had all of these goals of sitting around on my butt and doing nothing, but that wasn’t really the case. Somehow, no matter how hard I try, I always end up doing something. Anyone else?!? Just me?!? I did however get some downtime in yesterday (thank goodness) and also, was it just me or did yesterday feel like the longest day ever?! Thank goodness for Daylight Savings Time said no one ever.
My Go-To Skincare Mask of the Moment
If you watch my Instagram Stories, you’ll notice that I always share my to-do list. I even have people using my templates and creating their own to-do lists, which I love to see! Keep tagging me #SimplyToDo as I always check them out when I see them being mentioned. Anyways….I spoke about a face mask last night that I feel is a VERY worthy dupe of a very expensive GlamGlow Mask that I love. What is it?
The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is an incredible mask for helping with giving your skin a really good detoxifying facial treatment. After I use this skincare mask I notice that my pores are almost non-existent, my skin glows and my texture is the smoothest that it’s ever been.
The formula contains tea tree oil, green tea and charcoal. So I’d say it’s great for most skin types and even those with breakouts. For now, I’m using this about two-three times a week. It’s been the perfect product for a good at-home facial.
This is a pretty abrasive exfoliant, so if you have extra sensitive skin, keep that in mind. I apply this mask to clean skin, let it set for about ten minutes and then I get my complexion wet and start rubbing in circular motions. The green tea leaves will get all over your skin, but it’s a small price to pay for such incredible skin, ha!
I haven’t even mentioned the price yet! It’s under $30.00 AND a lot of the time, it’s buy two get one free. This mask is a fantastic price point AND this is why I love it so much more than GlamGlow. When that sale is happening, I normally also purchase their British Rose face mask, which I think is another dupe for a popular rose face mask that is out there. The rose mask is great for hydrating the complexion.
Weekend Finds and Randomness
I’ve been working on the Simply Stine A LOT recently. None of it you can see yet, but it’s almost finished. A lot of the time I’m doing a lot of behind the scenes type of work, that a lot of you wouldn’t even notice, but it keeps the site running smoothly and gives you the best experience while browsing. This update that I’ve been working on is for my shop page. I’m adding Christmas categories and more.
I thought a lot about it and I’m not exactly sure I’m going to be doing a lot of Christmas Gift Guides this year. Instead, I’ve put the products and things in my shop, categorized for easy browsing. I know that so many bloggers put out gift guides and I feel they can become a bit redundant, so I want to focus on other things. I plan on updating them as the season continues and when I notice great sales. So be on the look out for that coming to the site soon!

Do What Makes You Happy…No Matter What Anyone Else Says
I post a lot about my love of Christmas and the Holiday’s on my site and my social media. It’s no secret that I love a good old fashioned Christmas movie, especially if they’re on the Hallmark channel. (Not sponsored, wish I was, ha!) So many of you messaged me (seriously, ya did!) and told me that you love it that I’m not afraid to watch Holiday movies and post about it.
Here’s the thing, I don’t really care if someone thinks it’s “too early” to watch Holiday movies. I don’t care when people start talking about Halloween costumes and watching scary movies starting in June. I don’t care if people plan their Thanksgiving menus in advance and start getting their pumpkins out early. YOU DO YOU, that’s what we always say on Influenced The Podcast.
If putting up Christmas lights in November makes you happy, why not? If watching some corny movies puts a smile on your face after a really shitty week, why not? If adding peppermint to your coffee makes you happy, why not? My advice? Forget about what everyone else says and just do what makes you happy! I’m not forgetting about Thanksgiving, in fact, my table is set and ready to go! I’m also working on my menu for the day as well. I just really, really love Christmas. So I celebrate both at the same time!
Hope you have an incredible week! Are you putting any November goals in place? I did it a while ago and I’m thinking that I might again!
