My favorite Skincare! (Masques) AVEDA-BLISS-KIEHLS-QUEEN HELENE

Masques are some of the most overlooked products out there. When people ask me for suggestions about their skincare routine, I ask them what they are using. I’d say that about 95% of the time, they never mention a skincare masque. I find that crazy because people who regularly use a masque will notice a big difference in their skin. Plus, they only take 5 to 20 minutes and you are done. I know that it’s not possible for everyone to go to a spa for a facial. So using a masque at home is a great substitution.

There are a lot of different masques out there! They all have different uses and different applications. I’m going to split this post up so its not so many at once. Being honest, I probably own at least twenty masques. As my skin has changed and still continues to change (weather, age, hormonal,etc) I try new products. So here are a few of the ones I really, really enjoy using and the results are awesome!

Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing

This mask feels wonderful on the skin. It’s a clay type mask that will help shrink pores, help with oil control and just give a nice deep clean to remove the dirt and oil stuck in your pores. It has amazonian white clay as its main ingredient and will help remove dead surface skin-cells. It is suitable for normal to oily skin. When using this mask my skin felt tighter and it made me feel like I had just had a facial. Skin felt way smoother than before!

Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask

This is an at home product that is inspired by Bliss Spa’s Oxygen Facial. This mask is totally different from anything I have ever used before. It delivers oxygen, moisture, antioxidants and vitamin c to really give your skin a boost! This mask first starts out as a gel, but once it is on the skin, it begins to foam and deliver the ingredients. It only needs to be on the skin for five minutes. The smell alone is amazing and the results are too! This is a great mask for anyone looking for a pick me up and great for anti-aging benefits!

In need of a deep clean? This is the product for you, especially anyone with acne issues. It’s a two in one mask. You simply place two fingers on each of the chamber and dispense a small, grape size amount of the product out. Rub the product together to achieve a green color. It has salacylic acid that provides anti-inflamatory benefits (great for anyone suffering from breakouts), an enzyme to exfoliate and smooth the skin and vitamins a, c and e to brighten and moisturize the skin. This mask only needs to be used once a week, but it is a great skin changer! I feel like it dissolves all the “gunk” I have on my skin. This is my absolute favorite mask!

Intensive Hydrating Mask

A great mask for anyone needing some help with dryness. This product features aloe, lavender, kelp and rosewater. All great ingredients to moisturize the skin. With winter coming and temperatures falling, this mask will offer some much needed relief for dry, chapped and irritated skin.

Queen Helene

Mint Julep Masque

This is a drug store favorite of mine. It is cheap, but works wonders on people who have acne, enlarged pores and blackheads. The smell is great and it feels very cool on the skin. The product hardens and draws out impurities, thanks to the kaolin clay featured in this product. Even if you don’t have any of the issues I listed above, it is still a great mask to put on the skin to just simply relax. No one ever said a good product had to cost a fortune and this is an example of that!
