I may or may not have a slight addiction to skin care products. If we are being honest I’ll admit that I probably own over thirty items. Keep in mind that I did work in a day spa and had amazing discounts to use and products to try! After all, you can’t recommend a product if you haven’t tried it or researched it. So I thought it would be good to list some of my favorites! These are products I have tried or have done research on and have actually seen results. They might be high end department store brands or from drug stores like CVS or Walgreens. Since I have so many that I love, I’m going to break it up into different blogs so I’m not overwhelming anyone.
Cleansers
Aveeno Ultra Calming Foaming Cleanser
(Great for sensitive skin types)
A great drug store find! This cleanser is perfect for anyone with sensitive skin because it is fragrance- free, soap-free, non-comedogenic, and hypoallergenic. This will cleanse skin and remove makeup. It has Feverfew, which is an ingredient related to Chamomile. It’s a very calming cleanser safe enough to use everyday.

Philospophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser
(Great for any skin type)
This is the best cleanser I have ever used. I have sensitive skin. Some ingredients are a little too harsh for my skin. This is a very gentle, but effective cleanser. It lathers great (I use it with my Clarisonic) and it’s not loaded with tons of chemicals, dyes or fragrances. This cleanser is also available in wipes, as an oil, bar soap and even a gel. So there is a cleanser for everyone. They offer a lot of sizes to choose from and its a product that a little bit goes a very long way.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More
(Great for oil control, enlarged pores)
I have oily/combination skin. Right now its more dry. I can’t use this cleanser in the fall/winter time because it dries me out. I’d say if you are oily year round you would be fine to use this. I wouldn’t use this to remove makeup. Since it does have the tee tree oil in it, I found it would run into my eyes and sting like crazy. This product line has three main ingredients in them:
*Salicylic acid, willow bark and tea tree oil*
The salicylic acid will remove dead skin cells, keep the skin clean and prevent any clogging of the pores. The tea tree oil has antibacterial properties which is great for anyone with oily skin or someone who suffers from break outs and the willow bark will help soothe the skin.
Since using these products I have noticed a dramatic difference in my pores size, especially around on my cheeks and nose. I don’t notice my skin being as oily anymore also. I use the pore thing after cleaning and toning my skin and apply the refining cream as my last step. I don’t own every product in this line, but the products I am using are giving me great results.

Dr. Brandt Lineless Cleanser
(Great for all skin types especially those concerned with anti-aging)
This is a cleanser that is a little bit different. When put on the skin its a normal gel cleanser, but once it activates with air it begins to foam and tingle. It feels amazing on the skin (Exact same concept as one of my bliss masks I am reviewing!) It has an apple fruit enzyme to cleanse the skin and help protect against any free radical damage. Also, tangerine leaf oil to increase circulation and features sunflower seed which is rich in Vitamin E to hydrate the skin.
Just apply onto damp skin and allow the product to fully foam. Then rinse with warm water.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser
(Great for sensitive skin)
A fabulous, gentle cleansing formula that will remove makeup and cleanse the skin without over drying or stripping the skin. It has a sugar-derived glycoside foaming agent that won’t strip the skin of any natural oils. It has emollients such as Apricot Kernel Oil, Vitamin E, Avocado Oil and Squalane. So a great cleanser for anyone to use. A small dab of the cleanser will definitely clean an entire face and remove makeup. I find this to be a great cleanser to use especially in cooler temperatures. It just feels like it moisturizes my skin so nicely.

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash
(Great for anyone looking for a two in one product)
This one is a double working cleanser. Not only will it cleanse your skin, but it also exfoliates! Ingredients like rose hips, chamomile and passion flower soothe the skin and make this a great cleanser for males to use after shaving. I have to advise caution for anyone with sensitive skin. I personally love this cleanser, but it’s a bit too harsh for me to use. It tends to make my skin burn and feel irritated. However, I know a lot of people who use this and love it!

Aveda Purifying Gel Cleanser
(Great for normal/oily skin types)
A plant derived gel cleanser that works great to dissolve any oil and impurities on the skin. This cleanser has 16 different certified organic essential oils such as lavender and chamomile and features Vitamin E. I love this cleanser mainly for the aroma. It smells natural and fresh. It doesn’t over dry my skin and removes makeup nicely.
