I’VE GOT A REALLY DIVERSE GROUP OF WOMEN (OF ALL AGES) WHO ARE PARTICIPATING AND I’M SO EXCITED TO SHARE THEIR RESPONSES WITH YOU GUYS! WE’LL BE TALKING ALL ABOUT HIGH-END AND DRUGSTORE MAKEUP, HAIR PRODUCTS, SKINCARE AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE. IT WILL BE EVERYTHING BEAUTY!

What is your name?

Do you have a blog or a website you’d like me to share?
My blog is NorahLovesMakeup.com and my artist website is NorahSalazarMakeup.com
Are you a business owner or someone in the beauty industry? Let me know a little bit more about your business/position below!
I am a makeup artist working primarily in commercial, fashion and video work in New York and New Jersey. I started in Singapore and moved back five years ago. My blog is an annex of my love for makeup, although lately I’ve been so busy with work, it’s been tough to update it. I also work with brides and private clients like actors and headshots. Living in a suburb close to New York City allows me to have access to different types of assignments and clients. Sometimes I get to go to shows and events put together by brands.
How “into” beauty are you?
Beauty Obsessed
What is your first favorite product and why did you choose it?
Viseart Neutrals Matte (or the Warm Neutrals for deeper skin tones) This is a dream come true palette for me, it’s versatile, with zero fallout and great pigment. Some shades can be used on your brows, as under eye liner. Also I love that you can go very glam with this and plays well with other products like eye primer or cream shadows.
What is your second favorite product and why did you choose it?
Skin Food Weleda This is a rich moisturizer for all skin types and especially great for dehydrated face or body. I also love using it in very small amounts, with or without makeup, your face will thank you for this.
What is your third favorite product and why did you choose it?
Veil Cosmetics sunset light primer serum This is the only primer I will ever use on set. Veil is hydrating and works well on all skin tones. I love that it brings just the right amount of hydration and plays well with every foundation /powder. Clients love it and I always bring it on every job.
What is your fourth favorite product and why did you choose it?
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask This product should be called, lip life saver, I love it so much because it restores hydration without feeling too gooey or greasy. I use this on male and female clients, everyone loves the flavor.
What is your fifth favorite product and why did you choose it?
Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Essence I’ve been using this for months and I just love the way my face feels. This essence adds luminosity, refreshes and refines my pores/ face. It’s a treat once your face is cleansed leaving the skin nicely glossy.
I’m so excited to see someone else just as obsessed with the Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Essence as I am! Its one of my favorite skincare products! Norah picked some amazing products and there are a couple of makeup items that I need to pick up and try for myself! Plus, I know that with cold weather comes dry skin, so I’m for sure going to be trying the Skin Food by Weleda.
Next week, I have someone special who has agreed to participate in this series! She’s not involved in beauty what so ever, but her choices might surprise you!
Would you like to be a part of this series? If so, feel free to email me at christine@simplystine.com and put TOP FIVE in the Subject line. Thanks!
