Today I’m sharing some recent product empties that I have accumulated. I actually have a decent amount of products and was quite proud of myself when I saw the stash I had been putting aside. Some of these are repeat buys, but some of them were new to me products that I had tried. Let’s get to the reviews!
Dr Jart+ Micro-Water
I’ve talked about this Micellar Water plenty of times before. I tried a mini sample size and have been using it and repurchasing it ever since. I believe this was my fourth or fifth bottle I have bought. This will be a repurchase for me.
I get asked a lot on why I spend so much money for a product like this and I think that’s a valid question. Sure, a product like Garnier is great, but this just works for me. In the mornings I don’t use water on my skin, just this. Plus, I use this to remove my makeup and it does a fantastic job at that task.
- Features Dead Sea Salt which has an antibacterial and disinfecting effect
- Coconut Water also disinfects but also helps to hydrate the skin
- Hydrogen Bio Water draws out impurities
I really love this product and will continue to use it. I’m testing out a new to me Micellar Water that is a bit more affordable, BUT that doesn’t mean I won’t be back to using this soon. It’s that good AND right now it’s on sale!
IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo
I was told that this was the best dry shampoo on the market for oily hair. They weren’t kidding because it soaks up like nobody’s business. If you suffer from oily roots, this is a good dry shampoo. However, if your hair isn’t really oily, I’d say this is probably a bit too much for you. A little bit will do ya with this dry shampoo. I will repurchase at a later time when I need a new bottle. Right now, I’m using my backup Living Proof that I had.
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer
This was the second bottle of this moisturizer that I’ve purchase and I’ll for sure be buying another one. I first bought this when my skin was a bit flared up and irritated. I think it’s great for sensitive skin types. It features Prebiotic Thermal Water that helps to hydrate the skin. It’s not too heavy, and right now it’s the perfect moisturizer.
Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum
Peach & Lily is a brand that I’ve talked about before. I’ve talked non-stop about my love of their Glass Skin Refining Serum as well. If you want “glass” skin, this is the product. What is glass skin? I mean poreless, super radiant complexions. Those with “glass” complexions oftentimes have no inflammation and their skin looks super hydrated.
This product features so many good for the skin ingredients that I can’t recommend it enough.
- Peach Extract
- Niacinamide
- East Asian Mountain Yam
- Madecassoside
- Peptides
- Hyaluronic Acid
These ingredients help to calm and brighten the skin. As well as leaving behind a radiant complexion. RUN for this product. Use it consistently and you’ll see why it’s such a go-to product for so many people.
Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo
I liked this product, but HATED the original scent. Every time I wore it even my husband would comment on how strong it was. I don’t know if it was just us, but I couldn’t handle the scent. I’d like to try the formula in a different scent as they now offer it in Lush, Coconut Colada, and Vanilla Bourbon.
I think it did a good job as far as being a dry shampoo and I’d repurchase it again if the scents were better.
Skyn Iceland Blemish Dots
I am one of those annoying people who don’t break out that often. I know. I know. HOWEVER, when I do break out, most of the time they’re horrible. I picked up the Skyn Iceland Blemish Dots on a whim and honestly, they’re just so-so to me. If the break out isn’t that bad, these will help it go away quicker. If I have a pretty severe breakout, these will help, but I didn’t notice anything dramatic.
I did like that there were so many dots included and there were different sizes to choose from in the package. I think if you had cystic acne or something really deep, then this might not be enough.
Now there eye gels, now those are worth every penny!
Kiehls Powerful Strength Line Reducing
I ordered this product online after seeing that it was released. I was a huge fan of the original Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line Reducing Vitamin C, so I wanted to give this eye cream a try. I listed out the pros and cons of the product. In my opinion after using it this long, I just don’t see that it’s doing anything for my dark circles. Nor would I say it’s done anything for puffiness or fine lines. I would not repurchase this one, sadly.
PROS:
- 10% Pure Vitamin C (VITAMIN C for sure made me try this)
- Fragmented Hyaluronic Acid helps to hydrate the eye area
- Tri-Peptides are supposed to help with the dark blue and black circles we see under the eye area (THIS WAS A BIG SELL FOR ME)
- Did not cause dryness or any irritation
CONS:
- It does hydrate the under eye area, but nothing that I felt was too remarkable. Especially when there are better options available at cheaper price points.
- It did NOT A THING for my dark circles that I have. Nothing. Yes, I’ve been using it long enough to be able to say that.
- I didn’t felt like it did anything for my puffiness or fine lines and wrinkles
I had a decent amount of product empties to share with you guys this month! I’ll be stocking up on the items I need, but other than that, I’m not really repurchasing a lot right now. I do have my eyes on a couple new drugstore skincare products that I’m really interested in trying. Keep a look out for those coming to Simply Stine soon!
Have you guys finished up any products recently? Were they a hit or a miss?

I need to work my way through the serums I bought in August, but the Peach & Lily is next on my list!

The IGK dry shampoo does not play games. Like you said, it can be a bit too much for some and I fall in that category. It’s a great product though. I have 3 serums open right now that I’m rotating, but dang it I need that Peach & Lily one too. I’m adding it to my Ulta cart.

One can never have too many serums in my opinion, ha!
