I picked up the REN Skincare Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk recently and I’ve been using it and really, really enjoying it. Since temperatures have been changing and getting a lot colder, I needed to start using a non-foaming cleanser. That’s one trick that I swear by and it works for me. As soon as my skin starts to feeling a little bit dry and more sensitive, I immediately replace my foaming cleanser with a milky cleanser.
I’m not always a fan of milky cleansers. Sometimes they don’t feel like they are doing anything for my skin and I am left with my skin feeling like I never even cleansed it, but the REN Skincare Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk is a really nice, thick consistency and I can actually feel it when I apply it to my skin. I still use a separate makeup cleanser, but if I wasn’t wearing a lot of makeup or anything waterproof, this would probably be ok to remove most of my makeup with.
The REN Skincare Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk features Omega 3 and 7 Essential Fatty Acids (Arctic Blackcurrant Seed Oil, Arctic Seabuckthorn Berry Oil) that will help reduce inflammation, Peroxidase Enzymes (Fennel Seed Extract) that help protect stressed skin and Flavanoids (from Calendula) that help sooth and heal. The cleanser is perfect for those of us who suffer from stressed out, irritated, sensitive skin. It helps to remove dirt, pollution and makeup and the skin is left feeling calm. It’s helped calm my redness down so much!
I apply the cleanser to slightly damp skin and massage it onto my skin or use it with my Clarisonic Cleansing Brush and rinse. My skin has felt amazing since switching to this cleanser. I don’t feel as irritated, sensitive or dry at all anymore. I can’t wait to test this out in colder temperatures this winter because I suffer from redness and dry patches very badly. Right now our weather is so back and forth, but time will tell! If you are suffering from anything I’ve mentioned, I HIGHLY SUGGEST that you switch to a milky cleanser and ditch your foaming cleanser for a while. There is also a REN Skincare Evercalm Anti-Redness Serum and a Sensitive Skincare Kit that is catching my attention. If any of you have ever used it, I’d love to know your thoughts!

I also like creamy cleansers in the colder months but I never felt like they cleaned well enough on their own. However, I bought The Body Shop’s Chamomile Cleansing Butter that you talked about in the past and I started using that as a pre-cleanse makeup remover so that might help me when if I use creamy cleansers!
