One of the things I love about having a blog is that I’m always getting product suggestions from readers like you, who know how much I love skincare. One brand that was constantly suggested for me to try was MDSolarSciences.
In the span of one weekend, I was shopping at a beauty counter and had one of the employees rave about it (psst Von Maur carries this in the Atlanta area) and I had several people asking me about their sunscreen via FB messages and social media. That next day, someone from MDSolarSciences contacted me and asked me about sending some samples my way. No joke. It was obviously meant to be on Simply Stine!

SPF 30 Daily Anti-Aging Moisturizer
What I love about this product is that it not only offers sun protection, but it also offers the skin time-released hydration, helps to repair damaged skin and it offers anti-aging protection!! I’m a big fan of the texture of this formula because it’s lightweight, doesn’t leave behind any white tint that other sunscreens do and it leaves my skin feeling soft and not greasy.
The SPF 30 Daily Anti-Aging Moisturizer features repairing and calming ingredients such as chamomile, seaweed extract, niacinamide and also caffeine, which will help restore a brighter complexion and offer you a more even complexion. On top of that, it also features several antioxidants and it won’t clog your pores. One thing to be aware of is that this does feature a lavender scent. It’s not super strong, but it is there.

Mineral Tinted Creme SPF 30 UVA-UVB
This broad spectrum sunscreen offers you protection from both UVA and UVB rays with the added bonus of a slight tint that blends nicely with most skin types. If you’re like me and you have a lot of redness to your skin tone, you might not get enough coverage with this. However, on days when you just want a little bit of coverage, this does the job perfectly! I’m not how this will work on my skin as I lost the small amount of color I have because this tends to show up pretty warm on me and I think it slightly oxidizes during the day.
What I liked most about this product was that it could be worn under makeup as a skin primer and it doesn’t feel greasy at all on my skin! I have major issues using most sunscreens as they cause my sensitive skin to sometimes break out and become even more irritated, this one worked perfectly with my skin! Psst, if you don’t want a tinted version of this, their original Mineral Creme SPF 30 is one of my favorite sunscreens! It blends very easily on the skin and a little bit of this goes a long way! The one thing that is very important with this product is to make sure you shake the bottle before you use it or the product comes out very runny!

Overall, I am really impressed with MDSolarSciences and want to learn more about the rest of their product line. I’m always fascinated when skincare and especially with brands that have so much research behind their products! If you’ve been curious about this line, I’d for sure get some samples or try one of their products for yourself. Out of the two that I have listed above, I’m way more impressed with the Daily Anti-Aging Moisturizer. I think as far as the tinted Mineral Creme or the regular version, I need to see what this looks like on my skin during winter as my complexion will be lighter than it is now, just to make sure it still matches my complexion ok!

Sunscreen and more! The added ingredients that include anit-aging and hydration, along with the sunscreen is a plus! I’m not sure if I would like the broad spectrum one though, is it just one tint? I can see where that might be a problem. Thanks for the post!

It’s a tint and sunscreen. I think that there is a bit of hydration included, but it’s mostly for protection. It’s a great makeup primer!
