From time to time I like to sit down and put together a list of good products. Here are the 10 best moisturizers for your face. Why do I say the best? Because I’ve tried all the products and they’re all really good. There is a mixture of products for different skin types and results. I just like to let you guys know about products that work and that are worth the money. I’ve included some drugstore products as well as some more pricey options. Skincare is an area where I feel it’s sometimes important to splurge a bit!

The 10 Best Moisturizers For Your Face:
1. Yves Saint Laurant Forever Youth Liberator Night Creme ($170.00)
I have just recently started using this product and WOW! If you’re like me and you struggle to find a moisturizer that leaves your skin hydrated, but not greasy; this is the product for you! The price tag is high (really high) but if you’re looking to splurge on a good night cream, I wouldn’t hesitate suggesting this one for you! My skin looks so much more brighter and feels so much softer since using this product.
2. Ole Henriksen Truth Revealed Vitamin C Super Creme SPF 15 ($55.00)
One of my must-have products is the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. I swear by and it is always, always a product I will have on hand. Imagine my surprise when they came out with the Vitamin C Super Creme moisturizer. This is such a great anti-aging day cream. I love it because it’s also helping to protect my skin thanks to the SPF. If you are looking for something to give your skin that “lit from within” look and a fabulous glow-this is it! It helps to firm up the skin, boosts cell proliferation and help with free radicals! This is a great product for all skin types.
3. Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 ($14.99)
My skin can be really, really sensitive. So sensitive that I have to basically stop using all serums, exfoliants and everything that I live for, ha. This is not fun when being a beauty blogger, but it’s part of the job I suppose! When my skin flares up, I use Aveeno. It’s great for helping with irritation and redness. It’s also great for giving my skin a good amount of hydration. I don’t know, when I use this product, it just really helps to calm down my crazed skin. It’s oil-free, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic and recommended by a lot of dermatologists. I also love that it has an SPF 15!
4. Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Moisturizer ($25.00 and up)
An award-winning moisturizer that’s been around for a long time! I always recommend this product line to anyone that wants to start a good anti-aging routine, but doesn’t want to spend a fortune on products. It also has a money-back guarantee! This does have a slight scent to it, so if you are sensitive to scents, I’d give that a thought. Other than that, this is a fantastic anti-aging moisturizer that will help to give you brighter, more hydrated skin! Also, with continued use, it will help those fine lines and wrinkles.
5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream ($56.00)
If your skin is dehydrated and you just want a really good hydrating face cream to use daily, I always suggest the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream. This is a lightweight, but really hydrating moisturizer that features ingredients like Sodium Hyaluronate, Trehalose and Enriched Mineral Water. These ingredients will give you that signature “bobbi glow” that I love. Plus, it also has Algae Extract that will moisturize and condition the skin and Caffeine which will soothe the skin. All of these ingredients will give you a more plumped, hydrated and awaken look. I think this is one of the best moisturizers to use before applying makeup when my skin is feeling a little more on the dry side.
6. Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic & Retinol Anti-Aging Moisturizer ($$72.00-$125.00)
Ask me to name one of my favorite skin care lines and it will always be Dr. Dennis Gross. I’ve been a fan for so many years and their product lines just continue to impress me. If you’re looking for products that will leave you saying “YES!” and you’re serious about your skincare routine; I can’t suggest the line of products enough! I love the Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid Brightening Solution but I also really love the Ferulic & Retinol Anti-Aging Moisturizer. The ingredients are geared towards anti-aging and this really helps fade any hyperpigmenation issues and it’s great for batting fine lines and wrinkles, but still giving the skin some much needed moisture. This is one of those products that when I use it, I can seriously tell a difference in my skin. Especially when I use it with the brightening solution.
-Ferulic Acid: Provides sun damage protection; plant-based antioxidant that enhances properties of other vitamins for healthy skin.
-Retinol: Helps smooth the appearance of wrinkles and lines while increasing moisture and elasticity.
-Ellagic Acid: Powerful polyphenol that helps fade hyperpigmentation.
-Gallic Acid: Helps slow signs of skin aging. (Sephora)
7. Philosophy’s Hope In A Jar ($15.00 and up)
This is a moisturize that hydrates, exfoliates and protects the skin. Which is pretty much the best moisturizer ever, right? This is a great moisturizer for all skin types and it works. This is a very thick and rich moisturizer, but it actually feels more like a soufflé. This moisturizer is best for reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, skin discoloration, rough texture and dehydration. I love that this contains AHA because this is where the exfoliation comes in! Those AHA’s will help give a more smooth appearance to the skin. There are now several versions of this product (renewed hope, etc) but I always suggest this one because it works and I feel it’s a good product to introduce yourself to Philosophy if you’ve never tried it. Word of caution. I am not a fan of the scent of this product at all, but I tolerate it because it works that good. Oh yeah, this was one of Oprah’s favorite products! So there’s always that….
8. Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus ($44.00)
If you’re really into the whole power of plant oils, then Jurlique is a great option for you. I love their Rosewater Mist and this Rose Moisture Plus Moisturizer is a great option as well. This is a pretty hydrating moisturizer, so this is great for those normal to dry skin types. A little bit goes a long way with this product. This is one of those moisturizers that would be great for when you are flying because we all know how bad that is for our skin, ha. Indulge and treat yourself! Once you smell this product, you’ll instantly be relaxed! It’s just a great product!
9. Murad Essential-C Day Moisturizer ($60.00)
This is a moisturizer that is all about protecting the skin from harmful UVA/UVB Rays. I love this moisturizer for those who tend to be outdoors a lot because this contains an SPF 30 and it contains Vitamin C which is one of my favorite ingredients in skincare. This moisturizer won’t leave your skin feeling heavy or greasy, but it will instead protect your skin and leave it feeling hydrated.
10. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream ($30.00)
Oh my goodness. Where to even begin with this one. This is a product for everyone. It’s great for sensitive skin, normal skin, dehydrated skin and it even works with my combination oily skin type. I just can’t say enough good things about this product. You can use this on the face, but also on any other areas that are dry or bothering you. Colloidal Oatmeal, Shea Butter and Eucalyptus Oil and Ceramides are some of the main ingredients of this moisturizer. It also contains an Anti-Oxidant Booster containing Licorice Root, Feverfew and White Tea that will help protect the skin from free-radicals. It’s a phenomenal skincare product. If you are suffering from atopic dermatitis, irritant eczema, allergic eczema, and keratosis pilaris or anything that is just irritating your skin, I can’t suggest this enough. This comes in a variety of sizes so even if you just pick up a small tube of it, give it a try! I can’t tell you enough how happy I am since I found this moisturizer for when my skin flares up or for just every day use!

There are so many products out there that I know it can be hard to find what you’re looking for. It’s overwhelming and can be stressful! That’s why I love putting out lists like this. These are products that I know work. I’m not being sponsored by these brands to talk about them. I just genuinely feel that they work. Sure, there are plenty more that I could talk about but I wanted simple products that do their job. That’s it! If you have any questions or are having a skincare issue that you’d like some help with, comment below and ask me! I’ll be more than happy to help you!

WOW, what a price tag on some of these! I’ll definitely be trying the Aveeno option first since it’s the most affordable…but I didn’t know Philosophy’s hope in a jar had a ~$15 option??? That’s so good to know!

Yeah, you can find it on sephora’s website and possibly in store sometimes!

The price tag is very high on the first one! I like Aveeno so I would love to try out theirs.

Love Aveeno! It’s been one that I’ve been using a lot lately! Even my Dr suggests it!

I used Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream for years because I know that P&G spends a ton of R&D money on that brand. And it contains niacinimade, an ingredient I really like. I also like the FAB Ultra Repair Cream for winter. I just got a chance to try Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery line and I must say I’m in love with the daytime and nighttime moisturizers that are affordable (priced like Regenerist) and they are amazing. On the luxury end, my favorite is from Lift Labs but at over $100 a jar, I sadly won’t be buying another one.

P&G has some great products on the market. Their products normally impress me for the most part when it comes to a good drugstore find. I still haven’t tried anything from Lift Labs. Was it worth the price?
Allison @neversaydiebeauty says
I think I’m perfectly satisfied with Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Moisturizer. What I love about the Lift Labs moisturizer is the dimethicone. It’s the smoothest moisturizer ever. Definitely can skip the primer when I use this! I do love it, but I can’t say I’d spend the $110 to buy it again. I got a 15% discount on it when I first bought it after trying a sample, but it was a splurge

The First Aid Beauty Cream is amazing. It really is great for all types of skin and since it has no scent it’s unisex (even my boyfriend uses it). I love that you can use it for the face and body so it’s a perfect choice to grab and go when you travel.
Christine C. says
It’s such a great product. Now if only I can convince my husband to use it! He swears he doesn’t need products in his life….ha!

Such a great list! I’m always looking around for new moisturizers to try. I’m currently using the Philosophy renewed hope in a jar and it’s great, but not my favorite. I also really love The Body Shop moisturizers, especially the Vitamin E one. SO GOOD!
Christine C. says
I haven’t tried any of the body shop moisturizers, so I’ll add that Vitamin E to my list! Thanks for the tip!

Great list Christine! That Ole Henriksen serum sounds great and I have a little tube of the FAB Ultra Repair Cream, but I never thought to use it on my face!

The Ole Henriksen Serum is amazing! It gives such a beautiful glow to the skin!! The Ultra Repair Cream is so, so good for the skin! When my skin is having a freak out moment or it’s really dry, it’s the best to use! Sometimes I use it at night as well just because it’s a great product to use for some intense moisture!
