Truthful Tuesday: Angelina
It’s time for another Truthful Tuesday post. I’ve thought a bit about what I wanted to write about this week and after seeing a picture of Angelina’s wedding dress and veil, I got really inspired all of a sudden. Here’s a question to think about- Are you the type of person who cares too much about what others think about you? If you answered YES, I can completely relate with you. If you answered NO, then I’m really jealous.
Congratulations Angelina Jolie! You look sensational in my creation for your special day! Lots of love, DV pic.twitter.com/l0GafaxsAz

When I saw Angelina’s dress and veil for the first time I immediately bashed it in my head. I didn’t have that first reaction of thinking- I LOVE IT! Instead, I was like WTH???? Then I got to thinking and I realized that this is a mother, marrying the man she is in love with. They’ve created a family together and what an amazing way to honor her children, by having their drawings included on her veil for her wedding day. A woman’s wedding dress (and all other accessories) is such a huge part of her wedding day and the fact that she chose to have her children’s drawings included, just really touched my heart and made me realize that she didn’t care what others thought!! She knew that everything she wore on her wedding day was going to be a HUGE deal to everyone who was anxiously awaiting her wedding pictures. It would be critiqued and criticized or praised upon. She wore what she wanted and I think that takes some guts for her to do! In fact, it actually made me like her about .2% more than I did before, lol!
I think Angelina could teach us all a thing or two-including how to land one of the HOTTEST husbands around. There are moments in your life where you can’t worry about what others are thinking and you just have to make sure that you are making yourself happy. Who cares if people think your outfit is odd or that you wear green eyeshadow with blue lipstick. The thing that we need to remind ourselves, is to live YOUR life for YOU! I know that’s a lot of bold, capital letters, but it’s the truth! People might not understand your actions, but as long as you are making yourself happy and you aren’t hurting anyone else-who cares? Now I’m not telling you to become a self-centered person who only thinks about yourself and never about anyone else. No way! Just make sure you put yourself as a priority and see how your life changes and how much happier you will become, because I can guarantee you this- The people who already do this daily, aren’t sitting around worrying about you and what you’re doing! #TRUTH!

I run the gamut – somedays I could care less and others I worry way to much about what people think! I def need to work on it – because the truth is no one really cares that much hahahah.

It’s always going to be a work in progress for me! But you are so right, most people really, really don’t care and those are the people that we are worrying about. Life is funny, huh!!

I didn’t even realize her veil had her children’s drawings on it- very thoughtful and creative! I gotten to a point in my life to not care about what other people thought of me. I just live my life and keep it moving.

I care a little about what others think of me. No matter what anyone says everyone should care, but not let it consume your life.

I thought that the idea behind this was absolutely beautiful. What a nice way to honor her commitment to her family. I wish I wasn’t the type to care about what others think, but I totally am!

Her dress and veil – very original. Seems very “Angelina” to me! She seems very confident and does what she wants! Her dress & veil are very symbolic to what is important to her at this time. A beautiful keepsake! If only we could live our lives the way we want and not worry so much about what others think….. someday maybe I will be able to do that. I’m a work in progress as well. 🙂

I can’t say anything negative about her. She is doing her own thing!
