With the end of February here, I decided to take a bit of time and really think about what I’ve been loving. So today I’m going to talk about the assortment of random “things” I’m loving right now. Consider these my favorites for February!
TV Series and Movies I Loved
- One Day on Netflix nearly broke me. I sobbed, numerous times. Highly recommend, obviously. It’s about two people who meet one day and it follows their lives, you guessed it, on that same day, year after year.
- We also finished the series American Nightmare and WOW. This three-part series was about a couple who were attacked in the middle of the night, in their home. After kidnapping the female, her husband was suspected of murder. It’s a wild story. Also infuriating?
- Life & Beth season 2 just premiered on Hulu. The first series aired in 2022 I believe and I really enjoyed it. The series features Amy Schumer (a very different role for her) and Michael Cera, and Michael Rapaport. It deals with grief, loss, and relationships.
- We also watched All of us Strangers and we did really enjoy this movie, BUT please know that it is incredibly sad. Andrew Scott (hot Priest from Fleabag, IYKYK) and Paul Mescal star in this movie.
Books I’ve Loved
- Just For Summer by Abby Jimenez releases April 2 and I have to shout it out once more that you should for sure pre-order this one. I absolutely adored this book. Read my review of Just For Summer here!
- The Women by Kristin Hannah was an incredible read about women in Vietnam War.
- I finished reading One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillig and I really enjoyed this series. A bit of magic, a bit of fantasy, and a touch of romance.
- I’ve got a review for Out On a Limb and From Blood and Ash coming to Simply Stine next week! Stay tuned, but know that I loved them!
My Kindle Paperwhite
I can’t stress quite enough just how much I love my Kindle. I never, ever thought I’d be an e-book girlie, but here I am. Having this device has honestly helped increase my reading so much. It’s so easy to take with me on-the-go, which I am daily. It’s lightweight, the battery is incredible, and I am honestly never without it.

I also love the fact that I can customize the back of my Kindle all thanks to owning a very inexpensive clear case and some stickers. I’ve written about how I customize my Kindle previously, so be sure to check out that post if you are curious. (It’s honestly so fun!)
Currently reading on my Kindle: First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston
Boy Smells Hinoki Fantôme Candle
At Christmas, my mom purchased the Candle Sampler set that Sephora had available and one of the candles that it featured was the Boy Smells Hinoki Fantôme Candle and I have been LOVING it. It’s woodsy and spicy. I didn’t think that this would have the greatest throw, but it fills my bedroom and office perfectly. Even my husband enjoys this scent.
Somehow this candle set is still available, so I might pick up another one! This would be a great gift as well. I LOVE this sampler because I get minis to experience AND a full-sized candle of one of the candles in the set. The candle that I love (I normally get the Maison Margiela Replica By The Fireplace) is even more expensive than the sampler set itself. So I’m getting the full-sized candle as well as all the minis to have for less than the price of the full-sized candle.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream
I was gifted the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream to experience and if I’m being honest, I didn’t have huge expectations. After using this moisturizer, I can say that I was incredibly wrong. For my skin, this moisturizer was phenomenal. It wasn’t super heavy, didn’t leave my skin greasy, and it hydrated my skin incredibly well. The only downside is that it’s $$$ at $100.00. I know, I know. However, I can’t not share it because if skincare is your thing, then maybe this moisturizer would be something that you’d enjoy as well!
Breville Barista Touch Espresso Machine
Last year my husband bought us the Breville Barista Touch Espresso Machine and I am still 100% still in love with it. We use it every single day, sometimes multiple times a day. I’ve been having a Flat White every morning and sometimes in the afternoons I’ll treat myself to an iced latte. Yes, this is an investment, but the amount of money this saves us is incredible. I can’t say enough good things about it. If you love coffee, treat yourself to this!
Trade Coffee Subscription
Right around the time we got our Espresso Machine, I knew I wanted to have fresh coffee beans but I didn’t even know where to start. After doing some research, I stumbled upon Trade Coffee. They offer coffee beans that are roasted fresh and sent to your home. They also offer a coffee bean subscription, which is what we have.
For the coffee subscription, you fill out a form and it asks you a few questions about the kind of coffee you enjoy and how you prepare it at home. After that, they send you fresh coffee beans on a schedule of your choosing. So far, we’ve loved it. The coffee beans are roasted and sent straight to you. It beats what I get at the grocery for sure.
Having fresh coffee beans has been incredible. Plus, I don’t have to do late-night grocery runs because we ran out of coffee. If for some reason you don’t need coffee beans, you can alter your delivery schedule. It’s a very easy process.
We pay for our subscription, and if you use my referral link, you get $20.00 off your first coffee order of $25.00 or more. I receive $20.00 credit for each time someone uses my referral. Below I’ve linked some of the coffee beans that we’ve had recently and enjoyed.
Summer Friday’s Lip Butter Balm
I think about a month ago, I shared on IG that I had purchased this Summer Friday’s Lip Butter Balm. There were no colors available, but just the mint flavored one. At the time, I had been on two rounds of antibiotics and my lips were so incredibly dry. I had to restock my favorite lip treatment and I randomly decided to pick up the lip balm as well.
I have enjoyed the Lip Balm so much that I want to pick up the Poppy shade as well. I can see this being a staple in my purse for the spring and summer! It’s that lip product that’s easy to use and requires no mirror! It adds shine, hydration and a touch of color.
